Male waiter or owner during the lunch menu is rude and needs a serious attitude adjustment. Needs to be sent to Restaurant etiquette classes or allow someone else to have a job. Stop circling suggested tip amounts if you don't provide friendly service.Zero stars for service, per Living Thai's website it states "Here at Living Thai, you will experience the liveliness and excitement of our exhibition kitchen. Our extraordinary fast and friendly wait staff wishes to make your visit to us an unforgettable event. You could view our menu and online order ahead - no hassle. "Lunch menu was rushed with appetizers and main course served all at the same time leaving no time to enjoy my beer with our starters. We ordered a Pad Thai with beef and notified him that the beef was bad he replied 'I will let the chef know' and disappeared. No offer to fix or rectify the issue. We eventually ask for the bill and was charged in full with no followup on the pad thai or apology. He then had the audacity to charge us for the pad Thai and drew a heart around the suggested tip amounts. Not normal behavior in the restaurant service industry, maybe he is the owner????If he is the owner it makes it even worst!

I showed up on Sat night as single. All the tables were taken except one in the corner. No one greeted me, and the waitress walked past me several times, so I sat at table. Was ignored and finally the waitress came over ( a couple had walked in) and told me as a single I must give up the table to the couple. I asked if they had reservation, she ignored me and the couple said no. They even said they would wait for next open table. Waitress came over again and told me to stand in corner for next open table, how rude..I left, and the couple looked as though they were going to follow me out.I went across street to Miss Saigon..very friendly staff and service!

Wow inflation. It's $12 for this tiny bowl of fried rice..

Was the only person there for lunch, first clue that something was “off” about this place. Prices were decent, but I’d rather pay more for higher quality food and drinks. Unfriendly and unhelpful server that demands a tip. Here’s a tip for anyone reading this, save yourself the hassle.

It was my first meal in NYC, and the food was very good! Pad thai was a bit sweet for me, but still was very delicious with the shrimp. I loved the panang curry, highly recommended. The service was nice, and the place is pretty.

Walked in to pick up my order. I was visiting my friend and this is a great local spot they order from. Prices were very fair and food was great - as expected! Inside was nice and down to earth.

Unacceptable portions for lunch specials. I was given what is basically a half portion by any standard of Thai takeout in NYC. Underseasoned, lacking in any distinct flavor, didn't even come with a lime. Very disappointing place.

First off, the food is soo tasty. The prices, especially for the lunch specials, are great, comes with appetizer and main dish for 11$. Loved that the place was low-key, relaxing, and intimate. The service was great as well. Food came out within 10 minutes of ordering, and was fresh and hot. Can't beat that in the city. Period.

One of the best papaya salad and pad sew I have had in NYC. And I have been to a LOT of them.

The food was only barely up to par, winning in quantity. Can't understand what makes it mandatory to sneak in an 18% tip from a restaurant that even requires me to do my own packing.

I'm surprised living thai has 4 stars. The food is bland and they try to mask the blandness with excess spice. At first the prices also seem good but once you dig in, you notice the protein in each serving is actually very small. I wouldn't give them another shot
