Really enjoyed dinner at Lokal before seeing Shakespeare in the Park on a Sunday night! It was a delicious, satisfying, and fair-priced meal. We ordered wine and baba ganoush (which came with lovely warm bread) to start, followed by the crispy, refreshing Lokal Salad and the Lamb Chop entree. The restaurant was busy and not noisy. Enjoyed all of these courses! Will return on our next visit to the Upper West Side.
My friend and I had a late-ish dinner. Most everyone was eating outside but we stayed inside. We loved the warm bread and my friend really enjoyed her grilled calamari. The lamb burger was delicious. I was too full to eat most of the home fries. I thought they could have done with some spice or lemon. The apricot juice was also tasty. Very friendly service.
LOKAL UWS is a terrific dining option - a great variety of creative dishes, super friendly staff and management, and all in a most comfortable setting. Murat has kept this restaurant a great choice for so many of us.
