The burger of course was great but the Duck pie was fantastic. Loved the chips. Super heavy. Oysters kilpatrick were amazing but they were so umami I would struggle to eat more than one at a time.

One of my favorite places in NYC. It’s rare for people to rave about British food, but they know what they are doing. Don’t skip on their salad, it’s the type of thing you don’t want to order because the Scottish egg, the rarebit, the quail, the burger are all competing, but just add it. Great somm too. Cool vibe and decor. I can’t wait to go back.

Great dinner here. Staff were super helpful and the food was exactly what we were looking for (especially the tomato tuna toast)

British food? Miss me with that.
Seated 45 mins after reservation. Wouldn’t go back. Expensive for what it is.

We have a great dinner at Lord’s! Loved every dish we ordered, especially the quail toast and the Proper English Chips. The chips were super crispy on the outside and yet soft on the inside. Desserts should not be skipped! Service was also impeccable.

Lovely atmospheric spot serving elevated British food. As a Brit in NYC I absolutely approve. Excellent cocktails and service. Pretty good value for a hyped up spot in this location.

Staff was a little slow when I went but it was pretty busy so I understand. Burger is highly worth getting if you can make it in before they sell out- (they only make 12 a day)
And definitely get the Scotch eggs. I don’t even like eggs like this, but these were a slam dunk. Also their fries are the best I’ve had in a LONG time.

Go for the burger that's not on the menu it's probably the best thing there besides the steak

This place canceled our Saturday night reservation less than an hour before our seating. We already on our way to the restaurant and when we arrived, we were offered nothing as an apology for our time. Their only solution was to offer take-out. I understand that things happen but if I canceled with the same notice, I would have been charged $50 per guest.

Most of the snacks are bits of English cookery that would have fit right in at Cherry Point. The Scotch egg is a beauty. Instead of standard-issue dry, peppery pork sausage, Lord’s molds spiced lamb kofta around the egg, bringing the dish back to its likely roots in India (no matter what its name says). Inside, the yolk is bright and shiny like warm marmalade. One of the most elegant dishes is a confident, understated pairing of smoked steelhead trout, buttery and soft, with a thick celery-root mousse. One of the most calming is the rolled omelet filled with lightly smoked eel and then broiled in Parmesan and béchamel.

Great good! Every dish surprised me in a pleasant way. It feels to me that every dish is a little playful and inventive take on traditionally English foods, and so far everything works surprisingly well!

Thought the burger was overhyped unfortunately; they only serve 12 a night but I didn’t feel that it was that memorable. The fries though - some of the best fries you can get in nyc. Definitely also get the bread and butter and quail toast (my favorite item). The clams were way too salty and dessert was also very eh.

Lord's, nestled in Greenwich Village and the brainchild from the Dame crew, gives NYC a serious dose of British charm. Patricia and Ed have nailed it again – the place is cozy, always buzzing, and the food is out of this world. Ed's in the kitchen working his magic, turning classic British dishes into something truly special. You can't go wrong with the Welsh Rarebit Burger, and the Curried Lamb Scotch Egg is a total game-changer. Even the simple stuff, like the Heirloom Tomato Salad, is bursting with flavor. And don't even get me started on the Smoked Eel & Tarragon – it's mind-blowing. Seriously, Lord's is the perfect spot for date night, catching up with friends, or just treating yourself to a damn good meal.

We were excited to dine at Lord’s after hearing great feedback on their burger.

Upon arrival we were promptly seated and greeted by our server. We ordered two drinks as we browsed the food menu. Sadly, we were informed they were out of the burger, although we dined at a pretty standard time for dinner on a Saturday night in NYC.

Instead, we ordered the oysters Kilpatrick, scotch egg, sirloin steak and frites and the duck pie.

Oysters Kilpatrick: While I liked this starter, my partner did not. He felt the flavors did not match well together.

Scotch Egg: For those who haven’t had this before, it’s lamb wrapped around an egg and deep fried. We enjoyed this dish, but there was nothing remarkable about it.

Sirloin Steak: Standard dish. The peppercorn sauce was good.

Duck Pie: The pastry itself was really great. The duck was flavorful, but given how rich duck is, we were unable to finish it.

Overall, we had a great experience. The ambiance was lovely, the service was impeccable, but we just didn’t love the food options. We hope if we visit again, we’ll be able to try their burger and turn this review around!
