So freaking delicious!! They made my order efficiently. My friend, however, didn't get guac on one of her tacos even after she asked if they put it on. They just nodded after she asked but I'm sure it was just a misunderstanding. Other than that, it was amazing.

Whether it be a stop between trains or a late night bite, I know I can always count on LOS TACOS No. 1 to satisfy my cravings. After living in California for a bit, I can say these tacos are up-to-par with the classic, off the road, on a roast, fresh tacos.
Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ a must try, everything is fantastic every time we come. I tried the quesadillas for the first time and adding cheese was life changing. The meat is juicy and tender, the tortillas are freshly pressed and toasted to order.
Service: with a smile! Love the staff here—always so kind and patient and quick to offer suggestions while you’re ordering. and everyone is ALWAYS SMILING!
Atmosphere: The fact that there is always a line, even at 10pm on a random Thursday night speaks to their popularity. It is ALWAYS busy but it seems like everyone understands, you order, you wait for your food, and you quickly scarf it down at one of the high tops. There’s a constant bustle of bodies but no one bothers you which is nice.
🕐 Wait time: Varies drastically! Most recently on the Thursday, we waited right at the doors. Time to order was 10 min and time to receive freshly made tacos was 10 min.

Okay, this is in the shadow of Madison Square Garden and tourists drown out the area, and Los Tacos No. 1 has a few locations in Manhattan, but we were here at dinner time and what a great choice. Having lived in California for almost 9 years, we had great Mexican food around every corner and Los Tacos might be the best we've ever had.
Mix and match and share, everything is excellent. The fried quesadilla was a new option but amazing.

The food is good, a little pricey but it’s Manhattan pricing. It is super crowded during the night time and hard to find a place to eat. You have to stand while you eat but the ordering line goes by pretty speedily.

Heard a lot about Los Tacos No. 1. These are certainly top grade tacos - flavourful, fresh ingredients and all the added extras to compliment the taste. While great for the NY area, they still would be good to very good in Mexico or a Californian/Texan city.
I didn't mind the stand seating considering the busyness. It allows quick service and open seating. Kinda similar to a taconstsnd indoors 😉

I am obsessed with Los Tacos! Very busy spot, but the tacos are amazing, your choice of corn or flour tortillas. Highly recommend the steak, with all toppings. They have a large bowl of limes so you can add some citrus. They have a mini buffet of hot salsa and pico de gallo where you can add as much as you like to your dish! Very refreshing horchata drink was nice to help combat all the heat from the red and green salsa I added. I can’t wait to come back :)
