Service and drinks were exceptional.

I had an incredible experience at the Lounge on Pearl - from service to food to drinks and everything in between. I would highly recommend for hotel guests and those in the area. A work trip had me at the Wall Street Hotel, and given the pouring rain, I decided to grab a bar stool at the Lounge to get some food after a long work day rather than wander around downtown. Sabina the bartender was incredibly gracious as it took me a long time to decide what to order - despite a short food menu, almost everything sounded good (and in corporate budget!). I separately decided to indulge in a drink--when in New York--and asked Sabina for input on martinis, as I've only had a few and wanted some advice. She pointed me to a menu selection (the Aquitaine) based on the martinis I'd had and liked (relatively dry with a twist) and it did not disappoint, which rendered her offer to make another if I didn't like it fully moot. It was a wonderfully made gin martini with just enough sweet/dry balance that went perfectly with food. I will also say the classic dry martini with a twist was a perfect after dinner drink. Add in the rain through the windows, large florals on the bar, and high-ceiling ambiance of the bar and it was a very New York fantasy evening. For food, I had the escarole Caesar with chicken paillard and also the Vietnamese meatballs. Both were excellent and in great contrast - there were 5 meatballs but they were quite dense (in a good way) and packed with sharp flavor, coupled with a wonderful crunch. The salad was 1) far more plentiful than met the eye and 2) a great textural and flavor play, with the bitterness of the endive, escarole, and I think radicchio balanced by the crumble, croutons, and dressing. The staff was truly the highlight, though - Sabina was wonderfully helpful and attentive as described, but the other bartender (whose name I regrettably did not catch) was very friendly, the manager (Sheldon) was great to chat with, and I observed the staff deal with some difficult situations (a hotel guest fell asleep in the Lounge, perhaps from overconsumption, and a large party in the private room was antsy about their food arriving) with abundant grace and calm. I was thoroughly impressed by the Lounge on Pearl and hope to say at this hotel again so that I can pay the Lounge another visit.

Cozy, cool and sexy lounge in the heart of downtown Manhattan. Had a bottle of wine on a memorable date night, but the best part, aside from the warm ambiance, was our server that night, Tina. She was the icing on the cake, genuine, caring, attentive but not overbearing, affable...we will be back for her!

It's cozy, initiate, and upscale. The bar is small and can seat only about 10 people. It was hard to find the bar from the outside (nowhere is it labeled "Lounge on Pearl"). It's inside a hotel and off to the left. There are lounge seats as well. Drinks are overpriced and underpoured. Probably would not return.

I have lived in the Financial District for about 13 years now. It was a long wait for a place like this. I can definitely say it was worth the wait. The Lounge on Pearl has become a real favorite of ours. It is a warm and welcoming environment, with exceptional lighting, beautiful colors, and a sophisticated yet comfortable vibe. Plenty of cozy seating options, great people watching, and even live jazz in the evenings on some nights! There is a nice cocktail menu. The lounge also serves food (a limited selection) taken from the menu of the hotel’s restaurant, La Marchande. (If you aren’t famished, I would suggest skipping the food and trying another restaurant in the neighborhood. If you are famished, keep it simple. The burger is fine.)I think the most important thing about the place for us as locals is the warm greeting and friendly service we get from the staff. We have come to feel very at home at the Lounge, and are treated with great kindness and attentive service. While it’s always hard to pick out individuals for specific recognition when everybody is terrific, there are three people that absolutely must get “shout outs.” Motts, Juli, and Tina. Motts is an outstanding bartender. He has that perfect combination of skills that makes customers happy. He is obviously a talented and efficient bartender. But maybe more importantly, his warm smile and easy manner with customers makes for great experiences for visitors. I usually sit at one of the tables in the lounge, but enjoy watching him interact with hotel guests and other locals enjoying themselves at the bar.Juli and Tina are two of the best servers you can ask for in what has become a VERY VERY busy place. They manage to keep an eye on the entire room no matter how busy it is, and you never feel like you are wanting or waiting for anything. You know how it typically is in a super busy “hot” spot when your drink is empty or you’d like to order something and you’re not getting any eye contact from anyone? Well, the complete opposite happens here. Juli is INCREDIBLE at anticipating needs and is on top of it before you even have to ask. This is so refreshing. She makes you feel so welcomed and at home. The drink is ordered for you before you even ask for it, that's how good she is at what she does. And a kinder smile you could not ask for.New York City can be a tough place with difficult, overly-entitled, and demanding customers at times. One of the things that makes Juli and Tina so special is how calm they are in situations like this. I have witnessed Tina running the show on many nights as the only server in a full house of customers….making conversation with guests, attentive, welcoming, and never seeming rushed or overwhelmed despite the demands. I have also witnessed her dealing with very challenging customers with tremendous grace and professionalism….customers that doubtlessly would have caused others to lose it. Not Tina. She is the ultimate professional….the perfect combination of server, ambassador, politician, and host, multitasking and yet leaving you feeling like you are the focus. This is a real skill. The entire team is fantastic, and as you can see, going there is about more than just the drinks. It’s about the experience. Juli, Motts, and Tina are absolute gems in the crown of this hotel’s beautiful lounge. This team is well-oiled perfection! Great work by The Wall Street Hotel curating this group of fantastic young people!

The bar is awful. For example:Ordered. Belvenoe double wood. Was told they did not have it. I walked our server to the bar and pointed it out.Ordered two Pinot noirs. Had to go to the best wondering how soon it would arrive after a 15 minute wait.Lastly ordered two Irish coffees. OMG they brought a coffee in a standard cup, lukewarm, no whipped cream. This is a world class establishment? Will never go back

Great service, comfortable atmosphere, & well-made drinks! Wish their menu would be a bit more extensive and their portions could be more generous. Food in general is very soso.

This was both delicious and gorgeous. Excellent service too. The martinis were absolutely perfect.

Drinks are decent but seriously, pass on any of the food. It’s not up to par. Unless you would like a nice laugh when you order the cream puff pastry and don’t get any cream in the “puff” and rather get a plate of what looks like cookies they found scattered around the kitchen... That’ll run you $20..

This is a really nice hotel lounge that serves food & drinks. The food was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was nice (upscale). I also really enjoyed how quiet it was compared to the world outside it.
