Lucky what can I say sorry guys should have written this way sooner if I could give it a ten i would. Followed the bar on instagram from March this year and visited in September spent at least 6 afternoons/ nights in the bar over the 2weeks I was over. Loved the bar and staff and was never on my own. Miss the bar and will be back soon.

One of the last decent bars in the neighborhood. When I was in the area recently I was disappointed to hear that a staple, B Side had recently closed down. But, the atmosphere at Lucky is nice, happy hour prices were just as good, and the bartenders were definitely less rude. Granted, to have a better attitude than a B-side employee is an extremely low bar but it's definitely something. Would come back here again next time I'm in the area.

The bartender was complaining about “all these new people”. She seemed to be so inconvenienced. We went with a group of friends, and as one of them was ordering a beer he overheard a female bartender complain. When he came back and shared what he had heard the vibe completely changed. Some of us were planning on staying longer but we decided to leave after that.

I never write reviews but this is a warning to future patrons. Do not come here if you are a stranger. The staff will immediately have their guard up and treat you as if you aren’t welcomed (which is not a normal behavior if you are looking to gain and retain customers but to each their own). It’s obvious from the reviews that this is the culture at Lucky and a culture that the owner and stuff continues to support and pursue. From the moment I walked in on Saturday night to the moment I left every interaction with the middle aged female bartender was a negative one. Apparently this is the norm there. Hopefully she is okay because it exudes a lot of energy to be so miserable all of the time especially at your job. At Lucky they are happy with their regulars and aren’t looking for new business.

Okay drinks and service but there are way better bars in the East Village— the bathroom is great though
Wheelchair accessibility: Poor accessibility for wheelchair users
cute bar but super rude bartender (went there on Saturday night)the moment i hit no tip button (because i wanted to do it in cash after) the bartender started immediately raising her voice and attacking us saying 'do you want the bartenders to hate you?'. When I jokingly asked whether she would spit in my next drink she replied that she had every right to do so.it's really a shame because the place is really cute and has a good choice of drinks.edit: not sure why owner's reply says that we didn't tip - my friend did it twice when he ordered his drinks (by card) and i left cash at the end when i left (despite the bartender's attitude) - so at least be honest about the situation. Also, please understand that not everyone is out there to get you.Maybe it's time to pay your workers a living wage so that they don't have to fight for every dollar?

Female bartender has a horrible attitude — really turning business away. I’d recommend hiring someone with a better personality for your business. Judging by the reviews, she seems to have a common pattern
