The service was so warm and friendly and the interior of the restaurant is beautifully laid out. I highly recommend ordering an array of dishes, especially trying out the pastas!

Upscale casual Italian "bistro" in a Deco-Empire styled space. The menu is curated and focused, but sufficient choices to please most everyone in your group. Pastas are made in house; a pleasant surprise. The steak tartar with Italian parsley was perfectly dressed and brightly flavored. The charred octopus had a "sweet sausage and peppers" vibe, with a light, tasty edge. It didn't come out hot, however; not sure if that was by design or if it's just something made earlier. For main courses, we had the bucatini amatriciana - perfectly cooked al dente, with a flavorful pancetta tomato sauce. The eggplant dish was roasted in the wood oven, and came out with an incredibly smoky flavor and char. Wine list is solid, and service was professional. Definitely a solid choice for a tasty, Tuscan meal.

Short review: Excellent side dish (squash) and desserts. Small but tasty pasta. Don't get the pizzas. I went to this new Italian place; a sister restaurant to La Pecorina Bianca; earlier in the evening with one of my groups. We sat close to the door and because it was cold, there was occasionally a gust of wind but the door closes well so it wasn't too big of a deal. The waitstaff was friendly and did a good job explaining dishes and recommending cocktails. The cocktail menu is much larger downstairs at their bar Sotto and I wish the upstairs had the humorously named The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, but I digress. The Sarrono Sour with amaretto, bourbon, lemon, and sugar was $21 and it was alright. The bourbon flavor as well as the sour flavor was much stronger than the amaretto and if I wanted a bourbon sour, I likely would just go get a well drink for much less. The sour cherry was a nice touch. I wouldn't recommend it and especially not for $21 and would presumably stick with a beer or something next time. They gave us some Focaccia at the start which came with olive oil and ricotta cheese which was a nice touch. The focaccia had a pleasant texture and the cold ricotta went well with it. I personally didn't get an appetizer but I had told the server that they could bring out the side dish whenever it was ready and as it came out the same time as the appetizer, I might as well list that first. I went with the Delicata Squash for $15 with honey, brown butter, and pumpkin seeds and this was outstanding and honestly better than my main dish. The squash was roasted perfectly with a bit of sweetness from the honey but not too much and there was some satisfying crunch from the pepitas/pumpkin seeds. The portion size was also generous for the price. In terms of the other people at the table, the only dish I tried was the Eggplant Involtini with smoked tomato, ricotta, and mozzarella. It's not listed on the menu online but appears to be on the Sotto menu and I presume they recently added it but it's cheaper than downstairs being $18 instead of $25 (I presume the portion downstairs is bigger but who knows.) This was pretty tasty with a pretty solid tomato sauce and the portion was fine for an appetizer and could be shared with another. Other people got various salads to start including the the Charred Caesar ($22) Chopped Salad ($20,) and the Misticanza ($18) which they all enjoyed. As the photos of the pasta looked a bit small, I went with one of the Neapolitan style pizzas as my main dish which I guess was a bit of a mistake. I got the Ricotta with pecorino, lemon, and Calabrian chili crisp for $24. The flavor was kind of one note which was disappointing. I thought that there would be a bit more chili as well as more lemon as this mostly highlighted the excellent quality ricotta. The crust was solid though I would say that the pizza dough was a bit less fluffy than some other spots; even cheaper ones. I tried a bit of the Sopressata pizza with sweet & hot dry salmi, red onion, and oregano for $26. This was much better flavored although I would say got it was a bit salty. I also tried a very little bit of the Bucatini Amatriciana (essentially a spiced tomato sauce made with pork jowl/guanciale) which was $27 which was a small portion but the flavor was fantastic and I definitely would preferred it even if I would have been a bit more hungry. The rest of the group outside of one other who also got the Sopressata also got pasta. This included another order of the bucatini along with the Chitarra ($26) and Crespelle ($29) which they both enjoyed. In short, stick with the pastas even if the portions are smaller though apparently the best thing here is the Pork Porterhouse. A couple of us went with dessert which are all $14. I went with the Seasonal Crostata after asking what the flavor was. Crostata is essentially a baked tart and the seasonal flavor was pineapples cooked with rum. This was outstanding. The tart texture was excellent having some crispiness to it but not too much. The filling was s

Great first time dining experience. Interior feels upscale but with a warm and comforting feel. Service was attentive and knowable and had great recommendations. Loved all the food! We had the wood roasted oysters, arancini, and chopped salad to start. For entrees we shared the ribeye and crespelle. Everything was delicious but the crespelle was our favorite! It was a unique dish with incredible flavor. The white bolognese was . Will definitely be back! Good for a date night or with a group of friends.

Started typing this during the appetizers because our hostess, and then our waiter Nicholas and finally the manager Jason wowed us before we had even finished ordering. Their attention to detail, professionalism and friendly demeanor was an amazing introduction to their outstanding restaurant. Drinks were generous and outstanding. The Charred Caesar's salad was one of the best ever, the Cannelloni Special ever so tasty. ". To die for". Next the Bucatini Amatriciana, gluten free. Again amazing. Last the Pizza Soppressata, another stand-out. Can't wait for the desert but my finger is itching to hit send. Enjoy, folks!
