Web had an amazing experience at Midtown East. From the moment we walked in, the host’s energy set the mood and the good vibes carried on from the bartender to Sarah M. our server. She was exceptionally gracious and patient and made our experience a memorable one.

was quite disappointed overall with my meal here which was unfortunate as this is some of my favorite type of cuisine. the drypot i received was not spicy at all and the potatoes in it were severely undercooked, to the point where they were crunchy when I was eating them. the waiter never came by despite me being one of the only people at the restaurant so I wasn’t able to convey the dissatisfaction. overall i think there are much better dry pot restaurants in the city and queens.

We had lunch and ordered two sets of the dry pots. The food tasted okay, but they were both too salty for us. “Dry hot pot” sounds like a novel idea but they were just stir-fries that you could tailor (ie. you could be specific about what goes into your stir-fries). Mild has no hot spice and “extremely spicy” was not too spicy at all, not sichuan’s “too spicy” anyway.

The food was excellent. I ordered my all time favorite, beef noodle soup. Delicious. The place has a raw, kind of industrial look. Kind of cool, however, the place strikes me as dirty. Walls are filthy, paint is chipping, overall a dirty vibe. Totally a turnoff. I am trying to imagine what the kitchen looks like. The waiter couldn’t wait to give us our bill. I will be back for the food…… but….
