Really good fresh food. The guac was on point. Nice cozy atmosphere and quiet enough to hear your dinner companions.
Staff was friendly and attentive but patient. Food came so fast and was very yummy. It was busy and lively but I could still here the rest of my party across the table.
I stumbled upon Mole after walking around the village. What a little gem. Employees were so friendly and the food was delicious. Would definitely go back.
The initial greeting was unpleasant as we were seated at the bar and requested to be moved to the rear, where it would be quieter. The guy said it was filled. We pointed to many empty tables and he reluctantly allowed us to sit there. There were empty tables during our entire meal. The food was tasteless, including the guacamole. Tacos spilled out from the soft shells. Meat wasn't good. Table was too tony. There was no place for our coats. It was an entirely unpleasant experience. The only acceptable dish was the refried beans. And there were silly things on the taco plate, like an enormous pepper.
Popped in here randomly after craving Mexican food. Really authentic spot, great guacamole and each plate comes with A LOT of food so you definitely get your moneys worth. Would def come back again.
Sat outside, food service Friendly staff The chips served with the ceviche were stale and not sure why they weren't same good fresh chips we got with our guacamole and salsa
We used to love coming here but it has gone down hill. The food is mediocre at best and the service is unhelpful. When we tried to make our server aware that something was prepared incorrectly, he replied with, “no, that's right.” Huh
Food and cocktails were nothing special. The chicken in the mole enchiladas did not taste very good.
Incredible value- scratched the Mexican food itch and is authentic and amazing dining experience in the heart of the west village.
We lucked into Mole on Jane Street many years ago and we eat here every time we come to NYC. The handmade (and spice level customized) guacamole is amazing. Carnitas, tacos, margaritas - what's not to like? Outside seating in the warmer weather is a great way to relax and watch the foot traffic. Always highly recommend.

A wonderful place for a very good meal. The wait staff are prompt and good-natured. The food very good. The mole was top notch as was the special ceviche. A great place for a friendly good time!
The reason I’m leaving a 1 star review it’s because the food is way too overpriced and they serve small portions of the food for the price. There are better places for better food and better prices

This place gave me food poisoning. I had the chicken enchiladas so I am guessing it was the chicken. very disappointing to pay over $50 for a meal just for it to make me extremely sick. Don’t go.
Mole is the sort of place you seek out in Mexico: Small, run by people who love it, based on traditional family recipes and ways. And it is aptly named. Mole is the acid test for a Mexican restaurant because it is hard to get right and when it is, it's fantastic. So was the mole at Mole, a sauce apparently prepared in Mexico and flown in. Not the spiciest I've ever had, but complex in the way mole should be. Don't miss it.
Solid Mexican food. Good service. Nothing that rates a separate note - good at a reasonable price.
