Very unique Vietnamese restaurant, the dishes are not like anything you'll find even in the edgier restaurants in NYC. I found the food very interesting, and I'm glad I tried it, but the flavors blended together, it lacked distinctiveness. The food is pretty shareable. The low tables on the sidewalk are cute, but didn't look very comfortable

100% lives up to hype. Explosive flavors, subtle flavors, just radiant flavor and textures. Service is super knowledgeable (ours also made the. Blood sausage)

Every dish is a knockout, reasonably priced, gratuity is included and also includes kitchen staff.

We sat on the stools across the street on a beautiful day. It’s very authentic but that means milk crates and plastic stools. Good stretch but only for the able bodied. Plastic cups for water, so bring a water bottle if you have one and cut on the trash.

Dietary restrictions: Definitely let your server know about restrictions. This restaurant definitely favors the omnivore.

TLDR: Don’t come. Overpriced, long wait, mid food.

Worst Vietnamese restaurant I’ve been to hands down. I don’t understand why it has a high rating.

Terribly long wait for both seating and for food, an hour in and the mains were still not ready. Insanely overpriced. The only 2 main dish options were priced at $37 and $27 each, the latter being a vegetarian option. Staff were busy so understandably inattentive (not that it’s good). Portion size is pathetic, for both appetizers and mains. Menu is ridiculously limited with very few meat options and no healthy choice. 80% of the items are fried. Under 15 items total

Most importantly the food is not even good! The eggplant wasn’t fresh, the sauce on scallops was too salty and way too much, scallop neither fresh nor chewy. The stuffed snails were mediocre, just pork paste with some snail meat mixed in with zero creativity or actual flavor.

The food, I also have to say, is also not authentic at all. I’ve eaten Vietnamese food everywhere including in Vietnam and this is just more so capitalizing on some made up exoticness catering to novelty seeking NYC crowds with its ostensible trendiness, long line and potential instagram engagement (I don’t know if there’s a social media presence, I walked past and made the misjudgment of trying for a dinner).

The setup is the only thing that’s somewhat “authentically” Vietnamese about it - short plastic chairs outside. But for god’s sake that is not a redeemable qualify.

Restaurant is super casual, with plenty of outdoor seating and indoor seating.
We ordered the Coconut Viet Iced Coffee and Tamarind Pineapple Cooler for drinks. We loved both, the coconut cream was sooo delicious and paired well with the strong coffee. The tamarind was really sour but refreshing.
We also ordered the Garlic Fried Chicken Cartilage & Bun Dau Dac Biet — the big platter of meat. We lovedddd the food! The cartilage surprised us but it was crunchy and flavorful. The platter of food was perfect for 2 people and my favorite was the sticky rice sausage. Everything tasted so delicious with the vermicelli noodles & herbs. Would definitely come back!

Good place to try some Vietnamese dishes that i never try before if i don’t go to visit the local Vietnam. The place to dine in made me feel like I am having street food from Vietnam too.
The good thing is about they included service charges in the food price so you don’t have to tip them after. And don’t forget to book the table in advance.

Love the vibe. Food is a little pricier and taste wise to each their own. For my personal preference the cút xào me were a little too salty.

I had Bún Đậu Mắm Tôm before in Vietnam and I’m telling you this is the dish I miss most from Vietnam! The food here was amazing, try and you won’t be disappointed :)

While the apps are good and interesting nothing is that filling or substantive. Menu has 1-2 entree and they were very disappointing.

Unfortunately way overpriced for such a simple Nhậu cuisine. Truly disappointing as i wish there was a place in the city that served this kind of food in a more casual and affordable setting:/

Service was lacking severely and honestly felt disrespectful at some points. Took way too long for someone to even come by and take my order despite me constantly making eye contact and trying to wave down. They would literally rush by my table to attend to someone else. My boyfriend noticed a table that was sat after us get their waters and orders taken literally 10 minutes before we did.

When I needed the check, I asked 2 different people and then watched them proceed to do something else for other tables. Also noticed that the waitresses were extremely quick and attentive to the 2 tables beside me, and they just happened to be speaking Vietnamese .. not a big deal but as I am also Vietnamese, when I finally got the check, I started speaking in Viet and noticed an immediate change in the waitress’s attitude and demeanor.

Food seemed to be Northern Viet (based on what my mom said lol) and seemed authentic enough. The experience of sitting on the stools on the sidewalk was fun for a bit but since it’s NYC and not actually Vietnam, it’s only fun for the first few minutes or so. Would personally not come back, a lot of the servers will make you feel unwanted.
