From the entrance, the pleasant bartender greeted us with enthusiasm and kindness. Then, our server was Elena and she was outstanding in her description of dishes and for her courteous, attentive service. Loved the ambience and music. Food was scrumptious and portions were generous. Wine and cocktails were delicious. One issue was from one of the men who brought out some our entrees. My date said he wasn't done with his appetizers and the man literally said in an inpatient tone: “oh, you're not done?”, and put the food he brought out on a neighboring table and walked off in a huff. How rude. I am certain this happened because we were a Black couple. The server was about 5' 4” tall, with black hair and dark skin. He has a pouty mouth. Trust me, I don't make remarks such as this, but I was genuinely offended because the server was blatantly disrespectful and couldn't care less if we realized it. Despite that hiccup, I shall return. This was my second time there since around 2010, or so. Great venue!

We had an amazing dinner here! Our server Sam was very attentive and had excellent recommendations. We had the African chicken and the crispy whole fish-both excellent. The drinks were good and the atmosphere was cozy. Will definitely be coming back!
We took my godson here after a film screening because their website indicated they had a special menu for Year of the Dragon...we ordered 2 things off the special menu: the lobster dumplings & the Portuguese steamboat...neither was particularly good. We also ordered Ants Climbing the Tree which I've had there in the past & was super yum...not this time! The meat was just lumped up at the bottom instead of sticking to the noodles. The cocktails were good but couldn't sub out mezcal for tequila in one so that was a little disappointing...which kind of describes the whole experience actually.

came here with my boyfriend for his birthday and everything was delicious! recommend the grilled skirt steak, chicken and pork belly dumplings, and ribs. it has great atmosphere and ambience as well !!
We love dining here, rather it be date night or an evening out with friends. Staff is friendly and service is prompt. Can't go wrong with selecting anything the menu has to offer and the cocktails are amazing. They have complimentary coat check as a bonus too.

I think the 4.4 rating is right on the nose. The concept is interesting and aesthetic is fun. We came here on a double date for drinks and shared plates after a show at The Django to keep the night going. I'd say go for the atmosphere and a unique cocktail. Food is decent and the eggplant was our favorite.
