Honestly the only reason I added Mace to my list of bars to visit was because Mr. Tolmach was there. He's one of the OG YouTube cocktail content creators. Any chance I get to meet guys who've been behind the stick for years I'm going to take it. Happy I got to meet him. Awesome guy.

Yippeee Ki Yay Mother F××××r- A rich slightly smokey tiki cocktail 🍸. Very very rich in flavor. It almost taste like a smoked out mai thai with the coconut orgeat, and mix of rums 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Cheery Cherry Chocosaurus - Brandy, Italian sweet vermouth, ceme de Cacao and various cherry and lemon elements make a chocolate 🍫 covered cherry in cocktail form. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Dancing Sugar Plums - this is what I wanted my Thyme Flip to taste like. Typically I'm not a fan of lemoncello but when worked into this cocktail it taste incredible. Super textured and creamy while still having a little citrus flavor. An excellent dessert 🍨 cocktail. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

A rum barrel given the holiday spirit. The sherry, honey and sesame compliment each other very well. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Mace is one of my two favorite cocktail places in the city. I love their unique menu, and the service is excellent. Every cocktail centers on a specific herb or spice.

Miracle Bar is an absolute gem. The atmosphere is fun, festive, and full of great energy, making it the perfect spot for a night out with friends or a cozy drink that still feels special. The cocktails are creative, beautifully presented, and genuinely delicious—clearly made with care and attention to detail.

What really made the experience stand out, though, was Mari. Her hospitality was exceptional from the moment we arrived. She was warm, welcoming, attentive without ever being overbearing, and made us feel truly taken care of. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and it completely elevated our visit.

Between the vibe, the drinks, and Mari’s outstanding service, Miracle Bar lives up to its name. Can’t wait to come back!

We stopped in and realized they’re hosting their Miracle Christmas pop-up, such a fun surprise! A friend who visited recently didn’t even recognize the place because it’s now completely transformed with festive décor, including both Hanukkah and Christmas elements. I tried the Yippee Ki Yay along with two other cocktails, and the YKY was the standout by far. Prices were surprisingly reasonable, all under $20 even with the special event. Overall, definitely worth a visit if you’re looking to immerse yourself in full holiday spirit in NYC.

Fantastic cocktails, haughty service.

We were at Mace in the West Village for a professional event in the back room, with 20+ guests spread across several small groups. Our server, Br***l, took our initial order and served the first round of drinks and food. Then he disappeared for an hour.

Once we finished our bites, another server came over, handed us napkins (upon us asking), and told us the kitchen was closed but the bar was still open. A few minutes later, Br**** finally reappeared, told us the bar was now closed, and presented the check. When we mentioned that his colleague had just told us the bar was open, he responded that she “doesn’t speak English” and said that he had already given “last call” to one person and assumed that was enough notice for all 20+ guests. That’s not an acceptable way to handle a private group. Unfortunately, great NYC bars sometimes staff such untrained servers who obviously don’t take it seriously.

He then asked if we needed anything else; one of our guests requested water, which never arrived. When it came time to pay, the payment terminal had tip options pre-selected, and he walked away with the machine before we could even choose the receipt option. When I went to to him and asked for a receipt, he became visibly annoyed and said he “didn’t have time for receipts,” only offering to print one after I insisted.

Mace’s cocktails are excellent and, while they are on the pricey side, we don’t mind paying a premium for quality. But at these prices, the service needs to match the standard of the otherwise great drinks. We are generally generous tippers, but tipping should reflect service, not be pushed through pressure and dismissive behavior.

I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses this with Br****. Experiences like this undermine an otherwise great bar and ruin the appeal.

Very unique drink menu that reminds me of top bars in Asia. Also has a solid list of tinctures that can be added to create almost any flavor.

This place was charming, has nice city vibes. Service was really good, the staff Iwas very attentive and were really helpful. About the food, I would just recommend them to go easier on the salt, as every dish was a bit too salty (And I'm a person who likes salt).
