It’s a bonus whn you enjoy your food , your drinks ( it’s usually one or the other) & especially whn the service is on point. Heard it can be a busy place, so far I’ve been here whn it’s quiet ( love quiet) . Luv the decor. Will return.

Went here for Lunch with CoWorkers.. Service was great.. Food was very delicious really surprised me..
My coworkers had the Mexican Street Corn and Loved it.
THE guacamole although very tasty was not the best I've had..
The restaurant is dimly lit and cool vibe, decorated very authentic and cute..

This used to be one of my favorite Mexican restaurants and visited here after a while only to have a terrible experience. They did not have any nachos available and when I said that’s a first for a Mexican restaurant, the server (Josafat) tried to claim this is an American restaurant, not Mexican 😂 I can understand things happen and if one of your main ingredients as a restaurant isn’t available, I’d just imagine the server being a bit more friendly and apologetic about it instead of telling customers the Mexican restaurant is really an American restaurant.

Not my vibe
Party of 2
Prices were a bit high for what you got.
Ordered queso as an app. Small bowl serving
I had the carne burrito. It was a good portion. But it was 90 percent just rice and black beans. Not a lot of meat.
Daughter got the tacos. She did enjoy them.
The atmosphere was loud and dark. Very small table space. But hey that is NY
Service was slow. I was looking for my server a lot. Took a while to get check and payment
Party of 2 was 72 dollars

Great Mojitos and fajitas! Good atmosphere, only negative being it was a bit too dark to read a menu!

The sign on 5th Ave caught me to go there. The best guacamole and margaritas. Effectively it was 100% true.
Loved the freshly just smashed guacamole, generous portion and crispy chips 🤤🤤🤤.
Staff was very kind from manager to servers. 100% recommend. I asked for fajitas and they were so tasty. My wife and I had great experience in this place.
The food was delicious and the drinks were super yummy! I ordered a piña colada and my husband a margarita, and it was delicious. The staff was very attentive; the waitress and even the manager were always attentive. Definitely a place to return to.

We had a great time at Mad Dog & Beans Mexican Cantina in New York! The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the service was really good.
They offer a great selection of traditional Mexican alcoholic drinks, which were fun to try and well-made. The food was very tasty, with a wide variety of dishes—perfect for sharing with friends or family.
It’s a great spot for a casual night out, whether you’re with a group of friends or enjoying a relaxed dinner with family. Would definitely recommend for anyone craving good Mexican food in a fun setting.

Great tequila collection, above and beyond service. We didn't eat food so cannot comment on that.
