Cute well decorated shop with seating, plants, and cold vegan food. Wish they had outlets for laptops or fresh hot food. Looks like they have liquor but they’re closed after 3pm and on weekends so that doesn’t really make sense?. Tried a horchata latte and it was very sour and difficult to drink. Man happily fixed and changed it for me. Second drink still bad.. Would not eat here again but would come back for a casual daytime date just because of the cozy ambience & Great service.

Super cute vibe and good veggie food! Took awhile to get our food though—like more than 30 minutes! We were content to just chill and they didn’t rush us.

The sign says “come in we’re open” but the door is locked and the people inside just ignore us waiting outside…not sure how they can keep their business open…
Amazing chill little vegan cafe! Parking around the area is not the greatest but the food, customer service and ambiance makes up for it. 10/10. Would love to see more vegan spots like this in the BX.

What a nice little haven, very bright and surrounded by plants :)
Mae Mae Cafe is an all vegan eatery located beside the third ave bridge in the Bronx. They offer their kitchen foods, as well as to go meals, dessert and LOTS of plants for purchase. I ordered the falafel bowl, a side of jollof rice, pinto empanada and a blueberry banana dessert. For the falafel platter, they give you a good amount of falafel balls and the platter is filled to the top! The jollof rice has a spicy kick to it and personally, it was my favorite food item on the menu. The pinto empanada was hot and ready and included their freshly blended green sauce. The blueberry banana dessert tasted like a cake formed into a muffin. It pairs great with a side of milk of your choice. They do have a Restaurant Week menu, so be sure to check them out. Overall, the food was good and I would definitely recommend this plant-based cafe!

Cute neighborhood cafe with an amazing happy hour for drinks and food. The staff are always kind and welcoming, and I love the plants! The food is amazing (the avocado toast and the samosas are particularly delicious), and so are the coffees and cocktails. I love that everything is vegan and made with locally sourced ingredients. They also always have yummy and interesting grab and go items which are very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

I'm so glad I found this gem of a vegan cafe! If you are in Mott Haven you have to try it. The mushroom mole is delicious. I will be back to try everything else on the menu.

The menu is always so good. I ordered the Kabocha Squash Tartine, and it’s quickly became my favorite. Don’t sleep on the happy hour, they have some of the best drinks in the area.
