Cute well decorated shop with seating, plants, and cold vegan food. Wish they had outlets for laptops or fresh hot food. Looks like they have liquor but they’re closed after 3pm and on weekends so that doesn’t really make sense?. Tried a horchata latte and it was very sour and difficult to drink. Man happily fixed and changed it for me. Second drink still bad.. Would not eat here again but would come back for a casual daytime date just because of the cozy ambience & Great...
Amazing chill little vegan cafe! Parking around the area is not the greatest but the food, customer service and ambiance makes up for it. 10/10. Would love to see more vegan spots like this in the BX.
Mae Mae Cafe is an all vegan eatery located beside the third ave bridge in the Bronx. They offer their kitchen foods, as well as to go meals, dessert and LOTS of plants for purchase. I ordered the falafel bowl, a side of jollof rice, pinto empanada and a blueberry banana dessert. For the falafel platter, they give you a good amount of falafel balls and the platter is filled to the top! The jollof rice has a spicy kick to it and personally, it was my favorite food item on the menu....
