Joined for brunch and the place was empty, which was a red flag lol It’s a great looking restaurant but food is way overpriced. Average cocktails were $30+. You have a selection of your typical brunch items but again overpriced for the taste and portion. The clientele this place serves might be specific but service was not even exceptional. For example, staff was chatting near the bar/restroom area (in French) and blocking the guests’ way. Can’t recommend this place to anyone, but their reservations are easy to get.

The pasta was absolutely delicious. I almost finished the whole plate before realizing I hadn’t taken a picture! The steak tartare, egg sandwich, and omelette were all outstanding too. Every dish was full of flavor, the drinks were excellent, and the atmosphere made the experience even better. I can’t wait to come back!

The ambience was amazing — super chic and elegant, perfect for a special occasion. The staff constantly made sure everything was perfect without being intrusive. And the food? Absolutely incredible. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. Definitely one of my new favorite spots in New York.

We had the absolute best time at Maison Close! Camilla was an incredible waitress — so attentive, kind, and genuinely made the whole experience feel special. The drinks were perfection, and the food was so, so, so good — every single dish was delicious. We left already talking about when we’re coming back. Thank you, Camilla, for making our night amazing!

I just happen to find this restaurant on TripAdvisor. We were in New York because my granddaughter started to attend NYU. My daughter and her husband are very familiar with Manhattan because they worked there for years. The restaurant was beautiful inside. We got 7 PM reservations. We were a little concerned at first because there were very few people in the restaurant, but it filled up quickly. I had the frogs legs and they were fantastic and tiny. I ordered the veal which was a country kind of dish Like a stew. It was excellent and I took it home and it tasted even better then. My granddaughter had beef bourigiugon. She said it was good. I tasted her mashed potatoes and they were delicious, buttery. My son-in-law and my daughter had the French chicken and they thought it was amazing. John was the manager and he came over and it was my daughter‘s birthday so they gave us a glass of champagne, and we ordered the pear tart, which was magnificent, buttery and very well-made. I feel very bad about the reviews that were before me. It’s unfortunate they didn’t have the same kind of experience that we had. We are planning to return. No questions asked.
