The food is always excellent and the staff are very accommodating- but the music can be way too loud for conversation. Also the warm bread they give you on arrival was very over-toasted and just crumbled in our hands (it doesn't usually! ) which made it not fun to eat.
Fun menu, generally well-executed. Definitely worth a visit for dinner, but with the following quibbles: The avocado tartine appetizer was delicious but messy to eat. It's on a baguette, should be something thinner so that it can be cut into bite-sized pieces. Perhaps unavoidably, it was very noisy. There was an active bar scene in the front of the house that tailed off as the night progressed. Probably people stopping by for a drink and a snack. Dining room was nearly full...
I always have a great time here and last night did not disappoint. I brought my mother for her birthday and we enjoyed oysters, mini burgers, and the seafood pasta. For dessert, they brought out a chocolate lava cake with a candle and sang happy birthday. We washed it down with a Champagne cocktail with St. Germain. Overall, a great evening
