Came here for restaurant week with some coworkers and honestly it fell flat of my expectations. The drinks were fine and the appetizers were good but the main meal was not it. I got the sirloin beef which was like a sandwhich with a side of french onion soup to dip it in. I honestly wasnt a fan of it and my coworkers didnt care for their meals either. Got the 24 layer cake and aside from being pretty it lacked flavor… overall I just didn’t care for this restaurant. Only thing I absolutely loved was the watermelon salad. I will dream about that salad forever…

I'm sure everything is delicious and ive never been there!
But that's a 12 layer cake, not a 24. You can't count frosting, ganache or any fillings as layers. A layer refers to the layer of cake when stacking each new layer. 12 is still impressive so I don't know why there's a need to falsify this.

I came to Maison Pickle for their $45 Restaurant Week dinner and had such a great experience. Everything I ordered was delicious and satisfying from start to finish. The watermelon salad was super refreshing, loved the mix of red and yellow watermelon with cherry tomatoes, feta, and a tangy lime vinaigrette. The crab artichoke and spinach dip was so creamy and flavorful, and the toasted bread it came with was the perfect pairing.
For the entrées, I had both the steak frites and the chicken & eggplant parm. The ribeye steak was cooked just right and full of flavor, and the fries were super crispy. The parm was rich, cheesy, and comforting, definitely something I’d order again.
Desserts were such a highlight too. The Oreo icebox pie was nostalgic and creamy, and the 24-layer chocolate cake was just iconic, decadent but not overly sweet. Overall, the food was amazing, the portions were generous, and the service and ambiance made the experience even better. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

While the food was just fine albeit overpriced, the website says no restaurant week menu available for Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch. When we went on a Friday for dinner, they claimed the restaurant week menu was not available. Extremely false advertising. Will not ever be going back if this is the standard they hold themselves to.
Their website is still not accurate. Hilarious.

Deluxe French Dip was pretty good. Chicken parm was the best I’ve had. The Oreo icebox pie is my death row dessert. No photos available cause we gobbled everything up immediately. Will definitely be back.

One of the best restaurants there is. Wonderful rubin, and wonderful waffles & chicken. The service is amazing, and the atmosphere is 1-of-a-kind.

Welcome to the palace of gluttony. If you want to raise your cholesterol, blood pressure and have a mild heart attack while stuffing your face with a French toast the size of your next medical bill, this is your sign. This meal will hurt in the morning like a drunken cheese factory on roids. Your colon will rage all the way to gastrointestinal agony.

We just went for the large piece of cake they have my daughter saw on line. We went between lunch and dinner hours. No wait sat down right away. Workers were very nice and had great service. The cake was fantastic.

Came on 7/17 and the AC WAS NOT working on a 90 degree day! Then they had the nerve to have the smallest fans as if they couldn’t afford more fans! It was despicable And my poor waitress Jackie was amazing but the owners should be ashamed of themselves! If you don’t have proper accommodation then u should not be open! All the employees were sweating, the owners are greedy and inhumane!

While the food and service at Maison Pickle are consistently excellent, it’s time to address what has become an utterly unacceptable and long-standing issue: the complete lack of functioning climate control.
This is not a one-off inconvenience. The restaurant has gone years without a working air conditioning system, despite operating at full capacity with guests, servers, and kitchen staff enduring intolerable heat and humidity during New York summers. In the winter, it’s the opposite — frigid, uncomfortable, and again, inexcusable. This isn’t just uncomfortable; it’s irresponsible, inhumane, and frankly, dangerous.
Just yesterday, I was there at 7 PM with my pregnant sister-in-law, who nearly fainted due to the suffocating internal temperature. The air was thick, circulation nonexistent, and not a single effort from management to mitigate the conditions — no fans, no portable units, no apology.
That a first-class restaurant — charging premium prices and clearly operating at high margins — refuses to invest in basic ventilation or heating infrastructure is a disgrace. The conditions are unfair not only to guests, but especially to the hardworking staff, who are left to sweat or shiver through packed service hours with no relief in sight.
Management has had ample time to fix this. The fact that nothing has changed in years makes one thing clear: they simply don’t care.
This isn’t a matter of preference — it’s a health, safety, and labor dignity issue. And regulators should be asking how this continues unchecked. Maison Pickle should not be allowed to continue operating under such conditions.
Until this is addressed with real investment and urgency, this restaurant does not deserve the acclaim it receives.

Out of all the places I’ve eaten in NYC, this had the most classic NYC vibes of them all. Can’t wait to visit again.
