One of the best meals I have had in NYC, and that says something! I often find multi-course meals to be too much, cause palette fatigue and not well-paced. Not so at Maison Sun. They take you on an amazing journey of taste with flavors that are sometimes familiar and sometimes new. The presentation, variety, and creativity in the dishes was top notch. The chef's table experience was comfortable, intimate, and fun. The service was perfect. The wine paring (we went for it) was creative and thoughtful. This place is very easy to get to via subway and is a hidden gem. Highly recommended.

Update: This dude is just sad and delusional. I don’t know what trail for a GM involves cleaning dishes, and how I couldn’t get a job after I told him I don’t want to work there????
If you don’t believe me, read the Redit thread on him and his restaurant! I’ll let others share there thoughts and see where the truth is.
Lastly, his defensive behavior says it all. I’m only here exposing this guy for what he is. I hope he doesn’t waste peoples time applying. If you don’t believe my culinary critique, go there then go to Per Se or Le Bernidan for the same $ and see where you got the better guest experience. I don’t want to sit on a bar stool, not be able to select my own wine, order a cocktail, be 15 feet from the dishwasher ( literally not exaggerating!) and have service from a pushy , dull , person.

Avoid this place at all cost!!!! The owner and service person is very weird! The salesmanship is pushy and made guest feel uneasy. There a no wine list, can’t get a cocktail, and feel trapped in kitchen next to the dishwasher. For the $ I can go a million places in NYC. Also not sure if this is legal but I noticed the doors were locked during service. I would think this is a fire hazard but I’m no fire chief…. This place felt like a pop up restaurant and the food was good but nothing special at all. I can get Wagyu at Wegmans so and sea bass bite is nothing I’m writing home about
If you notice his response does not address what I said. I never once said I dined there these are observations . As far as your GM comment, you don’t have a GM?!? You run a 3 man FOH operation. You can try to deflect but I told you it wasn’t for me very quickly and you are a sad and now a proven liar.

🌟 Had the most incredible dining experience at Maison Sun! This month, I’ve visited Aquavit, Jean Georges, and Naro, but this was by far my favorite. Bringing in Chef Dai was a brilliant move—the fusion of Chinese, Korean, and other Asian flavors was absolutely outstanding. The creativity and execution were next-level, making this the best fine dining experience I’ve had all month!
It's my third visit already, and it’s amazing to see Maison Sun evolve from a pop-up into such a remarkable dining destination. I can already see Michelin stars in its future. Thank you for an unforgettable night—can’t wait to come back!

Watching these culinary artists work their magic at the stainless steel counter next to a vintage Molteni stove is literally dinner and a show! 👨🍳 Of course, this address is always a legend!

An amazing meal at Maison Sun! We were immediately taken with the ambience when we walked in the door — sleek, modern, and inviting! An intimate, comfortable, and highly unusual setting — a chef's table unlike any we gave been to. Carlos made us feel right at home with his warm hospitality. The aperitif and starters set the stage for a meal that exceeded all expectations. Everything was delicious from beginning to end, and the varied wine pairings were exceptional! We enjoyed the selection of dishes, all beautifully prepared and presented. The cauliflower velouté and the black cod were standouts, as well as the delectable duck, and the Wagyu beef was a real treat. The desserts were fragrant, complex and delicious. We hope that Maison Sun gets well-deserved Michelin stars soon!

Loved the service and flexibility around wine tasting (ability to have a smaller sampling of premium wines for lowest tier pricing). Food was quite good in general but didn’t love some of the earlier courses. Dessert was excellent. Overall a good experience.
