My family and I hosted a private event at Make Believe and the team (Kevin and Jonathan) was INCREDIBLE!!!! They made our celebration so special and were incredible communicators. The space is perfect for a fun night out with friends and the ambiance is cute and kitchy. The DJ they found for our event was AMAZING and had our guests dancing all night long (like my legs literally hurt this morning from dancing so hard!!!!). Would absolutely recommend to anyone interested in hosting a private event or looking for a fun night out.

My experience at this bar was very disappointing. My friend and I were there to have a good time and enjoy some music. However, when we tried to request a song from the DJs, they completely ignored us and looked away. We left and came back later to try again, but once again we were completely ignored. We noticed that they were giving attention to other people requesting songs, which made us feel discriminated against. While the bar itself may not be responsible for the decisions of the DJs, the individuals in charge of hiring them ultimately have a significant impact on the overall experience. A simple "we don't take requests" would have sufficed, but instead, we were made to feel like outsiders. Overall it was really upsetting and I wouldn't like to see anyone treated in such a disrespectful manner.

If you find the panther you found the entrance, if you entered the hotel you've gone toooo far. Once inside the staff is very attentive on helping showing you the way to the place. On the note on staff once upstairs the bartenders will finesse your drinks to your choosing, you just can't go wrong with mezcal. Make believe I definitely recommend if you're in the area with a group of friends or want to impress your date. Cocktails, live house music, and a skyline view the vibes couldn't amplify to any more on having a great night.

Spent a weekend in the city for a staycation with my significant other. We stayed at 60 LES hotel and before going out for a nice dinner we came to Make Believe for cocktails. Staff were great and friendly while it was still early. We enjoyed it so much that we came back up after dinner and spent the rest of the night at Make believe. The view was phenomenal, service was still great once the vibe picked up and got crowded. Staff very attentive including management who went out of their way to ensure we were always taken care of. Great drinks, a good mix of music and lovely rooftop views are the vibe here!

Came here on a Wednesday with some co workers to celebrate my birthday. The atmosphere,service and drinks were amazing! I would definitely be coming back! Can't wait to come back in the summer, the rooftop view was beautiful at night.

Cannot stress how much fun this place is! The staff is super welcoming! From the greeter to the bartenders. This rooftop gives you a great view of NYC skyline, great photo op & drinks are top notch. Definitely recommend this place for dates or a night out with friends.

I was here on Saturday night. At 9am the place was completely empty, people started arriving around 11am but the DJ played music right from the start. It's a very small place so if you expect the gigantic club change place, same thing for the cost of the drink, guys we are in NY don't expect anything under $20. They were all courteous, in fact I was shocked by the reviews prior to mine. The view is spectacular. The DJ played house music and was very good. The bathrooms are small, adequate for the size of the room. There would have been maybe 70 of us and we weren't all crowded together. Entrance was free.

Amazing place to go with friends or a date. Bartenders are super cute and the outdoor space is ideal especially when the weather is nice. The bathrooms have perfect selfie lighting!

I came to NYC on vacation and had to visit this place before I left. I was with a group of friends of 5 people and we found the atmosphere very friendly and fun. The music, the lights, the drinks and the people in charge were very good. The DJs made us dance all night and we were happy because the manager was able to communicate with us in Spanish. I thought it wouldn't be a good place because of past reviews, but I was surprised that everything was fine. The drinks were good and worth paying for.

I've been here a few times and the atmosphere is always vibrant! I've brought friends from out of town and we loved the experience every time. Ambiance - trendy and stylish decor, good music, great views of One World Trade and Empire State Building. Service - Hats off to the staff...the bartenders were fast and friendly. One of the managers (I think Kevin) checked up on our group one night when the bar was slammed. Great service all around which was a pleasant surprise. It's definitely worth checking out with a date or with a group on a Friday/Saturday night!
