I have eaten a lot of maki, chirashi, temaki hand rolls, and nigiri across asia pacific.
MakiMaki has good quality ingredients, but it is either an American style or the rice here is not seasoned.
The hand roll had a vague hint of the rice being seasoned at the base of the roll. The maki had no seasoning and neither did the toro chirashi bowl.
At this price point a basic error like this is an easy one to 1.5 stars off. The balance is thrown off.

Don't order the lunch special. I should have took a picture of the gray salmon that was just served to me. I have a meeting until 5 or I would have brought it back.
The lunch specials are lunch on the counter outside of refrigeration until sold out. I came at 230.
I spent enough money here and the food progressively got worse.
Surprisingly good quality sushi for a fast food like experience. The menu is simple and food is overpriced but still worth it if you’re looking for somewhat good quality sushi on the go or for a quick lunch in the area. There aren’t many like this around the neighborhood.

Honestly not worth the money. Got a tempura cut up that was so dry it wasn’t worth eating. Spicy tuna was a mash and pretty tasteless. Staff was friendly, but won’t go again.

I used to be a big fan. They have grown, and they changed. The cutup is mostly rice. Half of the hand roll was just rice.
It has become an expensive rice.
I no longer recommend it.
