If I can give zero stars I would. The manager seems to be the problem here haggling customers for tips. What makes you think you ARE entitled to other people’s hard-earned money and you chase them to embarrass them to get a tip, like they didn’t pay full price for the food ordered. You must be out of your freaking mind! NO ONE should eat here when you have so many authentic Malaysian cuisine served elsewhere with great service. This place is a joke! This is how you lose your customers and run your business to the ground.

I’m not sure how this place has managed such positive reviews. I suppose for the area, it’s okay. I’ve been coming here for lunch for months, a couple times a week and I’m sick of the inconsistent food and the incredibly rude owners. One of the two women who run the place treats their customers like commodities, or more like complete trash. Today was the last straw. After coming here dozens of times, I don’t expect anyone to know me or care but I do NOT expect my food to be thrown on the takeout table without a word spoken with them turning their back to me after I say thank you while continuing to ignore me. They’re just miserable people in general with nothing but contempt for those who pay their bills. The short haired woman is terrible, just an incredibly rude person. The long haired woman is okay most of the time.
Anyway, the food today was terrible. Cold tofu, completely uncooked broccoli, no sauce, and overcooked hard rice.
You do the SAME THING every day, how could it ever be this bad?

Though I will still go here because it's near me and the lunch special price is affordable, but not at all authentic Malaysian food. It doesn't have the "oomph."

I think I'm through ordering here after doing so for years. The food is inconsistent (depends on the particular cook and time of day ~ worse when busy). I used to love the Kari Sayur Campur, but yesterday, it was only two-thirds full, mostly noodles and sauce, sparse on the vegetables and tofu, and much oilier than need be. Skip the Thai curry samosas ~ I wish I had. The filling lacked flavor, the dough was oily, and the sauce was all sugar and didn't taste homemade. When I've called to check on ingredients and why some have been missing from my orders, I was given direct, short answers, but nothing else. No coupons, offers, or gestures of appreciation for being a loyal customer: no real acknowledgement of yhe issues.Also, the lunch special is just a smaller, discounted portion, no drink or other extra, which doesn't feel too special. Sad sigh and goodbye.
Vegetarian options: Watch out for fish sauce or shrimp paste ~ vegan dishes aren't marked on the menu oand the term isn't recognized when you call.
