⭐⭐⭐⭐½My wife, 16-year-old son, and I recently had lunch at Malibu Diner on 24th Street and had a fantastic experience. The diner's traditional decor creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. For starters, I had the chicken dumpling soup, and the flavor was wonderful. I opted for the chicken gyro with fries lunch special, finding it flavorful but wishing for more Mediterranean seasonings like turmeric. My son loved the burger and fries, both of which were a hit. We also savored the French toast with strawberries and blueberries, perfectly complemented by the sides of bacon and potato chunks. Overall, the food quality, variety, and ambiance make Malibu Diner a must-visit spot in NYC for lunch! Highly recommended.

This diner is a rip off all the way around. For starters everything on the menu is charged separately. My friend ordered a BLT (we don’t eat pork) so he got turkey bacon as a substitute. We were not informed it’ll be a up charge for something that already comes on the sandwich! I ordered pancakes $$12.95 with eggs . I asked for scrambled with cheese I basically got fried eggs with two slices of cheese on top which was $6.30 extra. I also got corn beef hash, that was $10. (Normal price) It was $51.77 total for what we ordered. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING!

I met a colleague there for brunch on Sunday. We both ordered breakfast. My omelet was decent. Their attitude wasn’t decent. We had our laptops out and were conducting needed board business. They told us we couldn’t have a work meeting there, to put our laptops away and essentially leave. We were there barely an hour. We ordered food. They had lots of empty tables. Why do they think people go to diners? No thank you to going back.

First time visit. Ordered deluxe breakfast. Food was great and the pancakes were nice and fluffy. The guy who served us was very accommodating. The mouse Chocolate cake was fresh and moist.

The guys at the counter are very attentive. Today, I ordered soup. Sadly it had so much thickener in the soup the soup was more thickener than soup. They need to work out the ratio here or just open up Campbell's soup, add thickener and add a slurry of cornstarch or flour. Atleast there would be more flavor. I like this neighborhood place...yes the priced are high but "THAT DOWN HOME TASTE" is missing.

I like her very much. I've been there several times and it's become a must-see on trips to NY. But there were changes to the menu and it was better…. But I recommend it.

Great diner, waitresses were super.Food choices like normal, decent and unspectacular.Fries were cubed and unfried and bland.waiter gave us attitude as he refilled our coffee but when we then told him we wanted decaf, he said we should have told him, not once but twice...but he did replace them, he didnt return after that, which was ok as we had finished anyways.

A good and safe go to after a night in the city. If you're looking for a casual and chill diner with the classic helpings like chicken and waffles and burgers, then this is your place. It's not the greatest, but if you're late night craving then this is your savior. The service is also very casual and easy and they're very attentive and timely.
