Typical Italian food - nothing special. Coffee was just okay - they could up that game easily. Pasta seemed boxed penne, but that just my opinion. Meatballs were incredibly soft, loved their gravy and bread.

We were there towards closing so they were not at fault for closing around us. The pasta was great and the service kind.

Food was uninspiring. The burata was not available. The bruschetta was like something from fast food Italian. There was no espresso. The sorbet served in an orange (only flavor available from four in the menu, was prepared ahead of time and frozen. Bash sky a frozen ball of ice, which proved vert difficult to eat. The service was good but too many good places available to go here.

Our table was nice, in an open window area as it was gorgeous out. Noise level wasn't too bad here but inside near bathroom and bar was very loud. I ordered the capellini primavera with no much rooms or capers. Unfortunately I got capers and had to pick them all out. The pasta itself didn't have much flavor though it was supposed to be topped with oil and garlic. Most of the oil had settled in the bottom of the plate. Ordered a soda and it was super sweet with no carbonation. We asked for a dessert menu. Waited a half hour for them to bring it. They never did and just brought us the check. In the end that was probably a good thing based on our experience. Service seems confused and rushed which was disappointing based on reviews I had read. Oh well.

Always top notch food! Best Italian in NYC! Nice having the doors open for the nice weather.

The brunch was very tasty. I had a delicious omelet with potatoes, mini-muffins, coffee and a mimosa. Very nice ambience. All for $21.

What a nightmare. Made a reservation, then to be asked 5 times from 3 different people what we want to order after telling them we placed the order to finally to get our drinks after 30min to them being nothing what we ordered. So we had to walk out. Restaurant owner here so this was a no go to continue for me. Cut your time and skip this. Zero stars

Everything was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious! The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was rich and authentic. Drinks were also on point; well-crafted and served with a smile. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Will be returning!

Perfect dinner expereince, as always. Food, service, and ambience were all exceptional. We took our best friends there and they enjoyed their meals as much as we did. A wonderful evening.

Dined in on a Saturday night before a broadway show. Sound was moderate due to live music, but the music was so nice. Food is to die for! Espresso & the Sicilian seduction martinis are 10/10

I've been eating at this place for at least the past 20 years (and there's a possibility I ate there when it was just a pizza joint long before that). Whether or not the watchful eye of the boss is around, the staff always make one feel welcome. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed, and I've not known the space to get too loud. The food comes in generous portions and is hearty, nourishing and carefully prepared. Last night, I had to be in and out in 45 minutes, which was accommodated flawlessly. There are many places to eat in this area, but Mama Mia 44 SW remains one of my favorites.

Always a favorite for dinner, I was pleasantly surprised to see they offered a brunch pre-fixe. It was not only delicious, the service was great as usual and it was lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend.
