This is my local bakery and lunch place which I visit very often. I love the fresh pastries and salad and of course coffee or matcha. Amazing service all the people are very kind and nice. I recommend it to my local friends ??

If you are Muslim don't choose that restaurant! I wanted to eat something at this restaurant yesterday and I chose it because I had experienced it elsewhere before. I asked them for a brunch plate and when I saw bacon on the menu, I warned them and stated that I did not want it. When my food arrived, I started eating it with great pleasure. It had potatoes and avocado and eggs. Just as the egg was about to finish, I saw bacon under the egg and I didn't believe it! I didn't want to believe that they gave me this plate, because it looked like it was prepared with bacon, and when I said I didn't want it, the bacon was removed from the dish one by one and served. I will never forget this disrespect. They are extremely rude and insensitive to your religion and wishes. If you are a Muslim, do not eat at this restaurant, because even if you do not want it to be prepared with bacon, they will not value you and will not prepare a separate meal. They will remove bacon from the plate with their hands and present it to you as a menu that is not prepared with bacon. Never trust it.

✅ has WiFi. As in not a maman WiFi. (No maman café offers WiFi because they're trying to be alternative but it's more inconvenient than it is alternative). As in, because of its arbitrary location, this maman happens to be on 2 freely accessible WiFis : LinkNYC and LincolnSquare public WiFi. So this feature affords a lot of added value to this maman café.✅ has outlets. —A rare feature for a maman café, once again because they're trying to be alternative but, as with WiFi above, the resultant effect is inconvenience. Also a much appreciated feature of this maman café.✅ Located across the street from ABC Studios and you can watch the giant live news band scroll across the front of the building which is pretty cool.✅ atmosphere is different at this one relative to the one on W 81st (and more consistent with every other maman café on Manhattan). Because of its location, this maman is more business-y, downtown-y & impersonal. It's a lot of young (and less young) professionals grabbing coffee on their way to work. A lot of solo customers enjoying a beverage or snack for 15 min before heading back to the grind. The maman on W 81st is flush with strollers and baby chairs; most tables are groups; it has a distinct family and community feel. This one does fill up with groups later in the day but not with as many young children. In the morning, this maman is, to some measure, calmer and "has more room" because more customers are ordering things to-go.✅ has a larger, more lovely, more comfortable, less awkward terrace space relative to the one on W 81st. The terrace is directly sun-facing from the late morning until early afternoon, until about 3pm. It's very enjoyable on sunny days.Those were the things I wanted to comment on. The pastries at maman are rich, decadent, delicious albeit overpriced. The beverages are expansive, inventive, delicious, well-prepared albeit overpriced. I have not tried the food but it looks delicious and is popular and is also overpriced.

Have been patrons of four months. Pastry has been quite acceptable. Cappuccino has been ok. However, kitchen items have descended into an abyss. Today ordered egg white omelette but received one that was burnt & constructed from whole eggs. Actually disgusting. Three bites … downed coffee and out the door. Counter staff can be rude and impatient.
Had to voice thoughts about this place. Maman generally has great food options, but after a half dozen or so visits here, I can say the staff at this location are unusually apathetic and borderline rude. The staff alone are the reason I won’t come back to this location.
