Although the food here is amazing, I was really disappointed to place an order on DoorDash at 12 PM, only to arrive and find the restaurant CLOSED. Date: SATURDAY 10/25/25
To make things worse, DoorDash still showed them as open and accepting orders, which caused a lot of confusion and hassle. And they almost refused to credit my account the full amount. This is unacceptable DO BETTER.

They charge a mandatory 15% gratuity. I picked up some to go order on a Tuesday evening. The place wasn’t busy but still I had to wait 20 mins to get my order. After coming home I noticed they missed a portion of my order. It was extremely hard to get them on phone and the only solution they offered to have someone come to pick up the missing order. They didn’t offer to cancel. So, I had to spend extra money to pick up food that I should have gotten in the first place. Upon opening also found they gave us shrimp taco instead of pork.. Not worth going.

Had a great time at Mama Taco! Went on a Friday night and it was so much fun! The music was fire and the food was even better! We had a couple of drinks and also tried the empanadas and tostaditas with chicken. The pickled onions definitely took it to the next level on these. We also had the shrimp tacos and the chimichanga and it was 10/10! This is definitely a spot you want to come for a chill night with friends, good drinks ans good music!

The loaded fries are absolutely delicious, flavorful, and addictive! But the real standout is their R&B nights they’re to die for. The vibe is unmatched, and the DJ spins the best R&B tracks all night long. If you’re looking for great food and even better music, this is the spot!

I have no idea how to start. Didnt know if it was a restaurant, hookah bar or a night club with how loud the place was. If your taking a date dont even waste your time. Only reason I stayed was friend wanted to see how food came out. I can still taste the tobacco 2 hours later.

Loved the bang bang shrimp taco. Probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Right amount of heat, sweet, and creaminess. The shrimp were huge. My husband had the Al pastor chicken. Also very good.
Prices was very good; great value for what you get. They offered a $35 brunch (main and dessert plus unlimited drinks for 90 minutes). HUGE steal! We didn’t opt for it this time but would definitely come back.

We walked from the cloisters and while it might be a little distance away (20 minutes), it was totally worth it.

I went shorty after opening time so probably not the best time to critique the vibe. What I can tell you about is the food...wayyy too much mayo and sauce in their food to where it drowns the seasoning and protein taste. I'd recommend probably a night scene for some drinks and tapas. No heavy meals to disappoint you. Staff is super chill tho.
