I’ve been going to mamoun’s since 2009 (back when a falafel was only $2.50!). I CRAVE this place every time I’m in nyc. The OG NYC falafel and still the best I’ve ever had in the USA. They’re now a small chain. This is the original location and the only one worth going to. The other more corporate locations are not as good. Beware, the hot sauce is INSANELY hot, and they are cash only.

I am terribly disappointed... I have tried falafel many times not only in Poland but all over Europe. At home, I often prepare falafel in various ways. I've been waiting for this moment to try the falafel from Mamoun's falafel for at least a few months and now what? The worst falafel I've ever eaten in my life. I have never eaten such badly seasoned falafel. New York, if this is the best falafel you offer, I'm sorry you've never had good falafel.

This place is basically thieves, and the food isn’t even good. Worst customer service and I agree with all the reviews that say that they must own the building otherwise, they would be out of business by now.

Basically you get 60% falafel sandwich for $6.50
Which make it over $10 for a complete sandwich. So,, not such a good deal ?

Mamoun’s old school legendary $2 falafels are far from what they used to be. Now they are $8, and they are smaller, and not as tasty.

Delightful spot, great food for reasonable prices. Not much seating available, but there are a couple tables inside as well as covered tables outside. Phenomenal hummus and falafel, and the mint lemonade hit the spot on a hot summer day!
