Food is good but nothing to get excited about. Some dishes were good, others were meh, nothing was incredible, and for the the price you can get much better cuisine. I would not visit again, probably would be a 4/5 star restaurant in another city but when you have top of the line cuisine in NYC I would not bother coming back here

Nice place with good friendly service. Food was good except for the churros which were not hot and tasted stale. Very disappointing when I had such delicious ones in Spain. I expected more from such a famous chef. Other than that, Lena is the best place to eat in the Mercado.

Food was very disappointing, especially compared to when I used to go often 2-3 years ago. Nothing was all that good except the pig platter (which was excellent). Everything else was mediocre or worse - definitely skip the "steak sandwich" and the shrimp carpaccio.

What a disappointment - two out of three dishes lacked flavour and seasoning. Stay away from chicken wings and spreadable chorizo! Lena itself is surrounded by other sister restaurants that overwhelm it with noise and bustle. Combined with poor food, one cannot escape feeling down on one's luck sitting inside this island of sadness.

Exceptional food and wine. Felt very provincial feeling with a vibrant atmosphere. Wine selection was vast and the server was really helpful finding a good Spanish wine to complement the food. The chorizo with honey was incredible and how they served it was so cool. Our group also split the Basque cheesecake with smoked manchego which was delectable! Eating at Lena made me want to venture to the other restaurants in Little Spain. Will definitely be back!

There's nothing on this menu that mediocre. We ordered the Sobrasada Iberico, Octopus, Catalan Veggie, and the Iberico Pork Shoulder. It was all delicious. Service was prompt, excellent, and had great recommendations when we couldn't decide on a few things. Just go eat here, bring a group of friends so you can sample everything on the menu. It'll be delicious and an incredible value for money.

We had an opportunity to meet family and friends during restaurant week and Leña was the perfect spot. Portions were just right, if not a bit on the big side, especially for our cousin who's from Europe. We all had leftovers to bring back! And can I just gush about the cocktails? We had such a lovely time and can't wait to come back.

Overpriced food, saw the same dish on another part of little Spain for less. The lobster rice was too salty. The appetizers were good but pricey (for pantomate which costs nothing to make) We paid 300 for 3 drinks two appetizers and one main. And two desserts. Concept is great but Leña needs more fun stuff.

The food was outstanding. Our server Andreas very knowledgeable. We were there July 4th. Just not enough bus help. Dirty dishes sat for a while. He had way too many tables to cover. For the price the service should be on par with the food and waitstaff. Loved it overall. Will be back regardless

The Festivales family meals are exceptional. We had the aged ribeye steak. Ranks among the best steaks in NYC. Three tapas are included. We had the Basque cheese cake for dessert. And the sangria. I highly recommend this restaurant! Good for groups for sharing and celebrations.

We traveled to Madrid and Barcelona last month and wanted to revive the experience of the food and Mercado ambience. It brought us back , the cochinillo and the Bellota ibérico han was extraordinary. The beer and dessert was MAs if we were back in Spain wonderful experience to celebrate Mothers Day

Highly impressed! ? Jose Andres, you got the culinary secret down. ? Food was superb, everything we tried was delish. Highly recommend the lubina. Ambiance was fabulous. Until next time...

Delicious food, swift service, casual ambience. La Leña is a bit more secluded than the other eateries sharing the open space of the Little Spain complex so there isn't that constant pedestrian traffic. The menu comprises mostly tapas, not very many and a bit pricey, but still well worth the visit.
