I had a lovely experience here. I went with two friends and we started with cocktails, each interesting and flavorful. The salt foam margarita was especially good. The scallop, served raw on a half shell had a lovely herby sauce. The jamon crochettes were also excellent. My friends also enjoyed the roast pork shoulder and burger. Sadly, we had no room left for dessert, but there were a number of interesting options, so next time!
4.5!! As good as it gets...Leña offers a highly professional, truly unique and delicious experience. The spreadable sobrasada with honey and the presa iberica are not to be missed. Have been many times, each time is a taste treat; we have always been impressed by the food and the attentive staff. Came tonight for birthday dinner. Special thanks to our hostess, who observed our table rocking and rushed to shim it, and Juan who took excellent care of us this evening, including treating the table to birthday churros y chocolate - 100% delightful!
The hostess was great. She cleared a corner table for us, since it was a better table than one that was ready but not in as comfy as a location. Unfortunately our first menu choice Arroz de Bogavante wasn't available--The server did tell us she would check and came back several minutes later. Honestly, this is probably the 3rd time we ordered it and were told it wasn't available. So, then we ordered the Lubina a la Donostiarra, which in the past has been good. But this time it was oversalted and worse, after waiting a long time, was tepid! You would have thought that due to the wait they were cooking it and would have brought it out while at least warm. We left most of it on the serving platter. We did like the salad that went with it. Bottom line is that we love the idea of Leña and Little Spain, but usually come away disappointed because of inconsistent execution, or lack of availability of many items. Also, the dessert counter in Little Spain closes way too early. This is not the Spain we know. In fact, the entire place shuts down way too early. We are probably going to give it a couple more tries, but more than likely give up soon.
It was my last New York City dinner before I left the big apple to move to California the service the ambience and the food was amazing. I have to give credit to the wonderful staff that has me and my last dinner in New York City memorable and an incredible time. Thank you.
Food was delicious, well prepared and service was quick and friendly. Only wish that the main dishes came with some sort of side such as rice or vegetables without having to add on a side at an extra cost.
I was explained by a staff that a la carto menu would be like tapas for 2 to 3 persons, so I thought the portion should be small, but actually it was large enough to share with 3 to 4 persons. We couldn't reach a main dish for that.
Excellent food which came out quickly. The wine selection was very nice as well. Great service!
I had an awesome experience; first of all, the food was on point. As a Spaniard living in New York, I think that makes it even more impressive. The ambiance was well curated, with nice red tones and low light, definitely giving you the feeling of not being in the middle of a big open market. My captain Andreu, was attentive, not too intrusive, and very enthusiastic with food descriptions, something that hospitality professionals lack nowadays. He elevated me and my wife's experience. Looking forward to going back, I will be recommending the spot! Artichokes with romesco are a must-try!
Food was terrible, probably the worst Spanish food i've ever had. The paella had no vegetables and the chicken was overcooked and all skin. The croquettes were dripping in oil from the cheese and had no substance or taste. The salad was COVERED in parm and super offputting, and the seabass...i'm shocked the kitchen actually let that go on a table. Never coming back here and will gladly warn all my peers.
Burger was delicious. We liked our waiter who gave good advice but staff was pretty absent. Hostesses weren't friendly at all.

Some items are overpriced. But hey, you're dining in Hudson Yards so you pay for the location as well. 😂
It's an open restaurant in a food court. A bit louder than I expected. The food was good, but not great and certainly not at that price.
The food and drinks were exceptional - excellent cocktails, Sidra and spanish wine! Our server David was terrific and provided some great background on the various dishes and drinks and helped guide us to the right choices. Our favorites included the Sobrasada ibérica, Croquetas de Jamón Ibérico, Bacalao ahumado Carpier, Pulpo a la Gallega, Alcachofas Con Romesco, Piquillos Julian De Tolosa and the Costillas de Cerdo Ibérico. Also try the anchovies - they were excellent. For desert we highly recommend the cheesecake - it was light but with a complex flavor and unlike any other cheese cake we have ever had. Then walk off the meal with a stroll on the high line.
Extremely loud place due to many tables being too close together. Don't go if you want to have a conversation
Very very bad meal. Too bad because I love Andres and what he does. Food was terrible cold and flavorless. Service was great though. I hope Oyamel is better.
