Since 2016, we have had the pleasure of dining at your original location on Reade St. This visit marked our first experience at the new location, which is truly breathtaking. Our friends from Ireland, who joined us for dinner last night during their honeymoon, said it the finest dinner they had ever had. We wholeheartedly agree. The cuisine was absolutely exquisite! The service, food, and ambiance were, as always, exceptional and consistent. Our server, Molly, was outstanding and charismatic. She kept us laughing throughout the evening and was on top of asking about food allergies, which was very important since I recently developed allergies to hazelnuts. The entire team, including the lovely hostesses that greeted us with a warm welcome, Mez, Griffin, Darren, and Robert, provided attentive service, ensuring our every need was met. Your team is truly exceptional. We eagerly anticipate our next visit. Excellent job, Chef Forgione!

My experience at forgione was pretty good. I believe my waiter was in training but the service was still excellent.

Virgin Cantaloupe Daiquiri was nice.

The duck in a jar was delectable, one of the better pates I’ve had. Laotian sushi was missing that green sauce underneath on the first piece but was otherwise delicious.

The hiramasu was a work of art and I enjoyed the presentation and flavors. The sichuan flower was a great touch.

Chili Lobster was more of a thin bisque but had great flavor, lobster was cooked perfectly. Enjoyed the garlic butter toasted bun. I only wish there was more.

Chicken under a brick was also delicious. Chicken was juicy, skin was crispy. Potatoes were nicely cooked and absorbed a good amount of flavor. Unfortunately, two of my broccoli rabe pieces were burnt and that messed up the start of the dish.

Mille Feuille was good enough, pastry was nice and soft, with a solid shell. I should have picked a different dessert.

Would recommend, will try again with another person this time.

Came here on a whim and we loved it - the duck in a jar, the chili lobster, and the cavatappi were huge standouts. Loved the egg too! It's a surprised but you will love it regardless of if you like creamier deserts vs fresh ones.

Want to point out that they gave us free sweets to take home at the end to take home (banana bread I believe), which was really nice of them, but both of the pieces we got had mold on them when we checked next morning even though we refrigerated them basically within <10 minutes of leaving the restaurant. So, appreciate it regardless and don't want to ding them since it was free but heads up for the restaurant!

Forgione is an absolute gem in the heart of the city, offering a dining experience that is as sophisticated as it is approachable. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between modern elegance and rustic charm. The ambiance is intimate, making it ideal for both special occasions and casual dining alike.

We started with the crispy artichokes, which were perfectly fried and served with a tangy dipping sauce. The roasted bone marrow was a standout – rich, flavorful, and decadent, served with toasted bread that perfectly complemented the richness of the marrow.

For the main course, I had the ribeye steak, and it was absolutely divine – tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning. My companion opted for the braised short ribs, which were so tender that they practically melted in your mouth. Both dishes were accompanied by an assortment of delicious sides, including creamed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes, which were the perfect complement to the hearty mains.

The wine list is extensive, with excellent recommendations from the sommelier that paired beautifully with our dishes. Service was impeccable throughout the evening – attentive, knowledgeable, and with just the right balance of professionalism and warmth.

Forgione is a place that takes pride in offering a well-curated, top-quality dining experience, and it shows in every aspect – from the food to the service to the ambiance. It’s the perfect spot for a memorable meal, and I can’t wait to return!

I normally don’t visit restaurants more than once, but this one I have been too multiple times. I was also surprised when I usually dine, I don’t tend to order chicken, but here it was the highlight of my meal. Thank you Forgione.

We had an amazing experience at Forgione. From the moment we walked in, the host set the tone with a warm welcome and great service that carried through the entire evening.

The food was outstanding; the ravioli and spaghetti were perfectly prepared, the steak was cooked beautifully, and the egg dessert was one of the highlights of the night (creative, delicious, and memorable). Every dish felt thoughtful and elevated, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet special.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for incredible food paired with genuinely attentive service.

So I went here last night. Place is nice and staff is friendly. As far as the food goes it was mediocre. The shoshito peppers are soggy instead of crispy. The ravioli are empty inside and kind of tasteless. They also charge $15 for a bread plate which is kind of absurd. Overall, overpriced for what it is and the quality of food. Would not go back.

The food was decent, I would just say they are trying to be more sophisticated than they can.

Duck pate was incredible, really rich and delicious, unfortunately the bread portion is not enough for the amount of pate, so just put one more slice which would be great or serve less pate to reduce leftovers.

The lamb didn’t have much taste, the sauce wasn’t correctly ligated and the gnocchi was flavourless and the artichoke tasted like canned artichoke.

The mille-feuille potato wasn’t crispy, just had a good butter taste. I loved the burnt flavor on the mini onions and the hanger steak was ok but It definitely needed more salt.

Presentation on the plates were really bad on my opinion.

So overall for a 200$+ dinner I would expect or less fancy stuff and more correct flavors, or something better.
Hope they take this to improve, because on a Saturday night most of the tables were empty.

Come in, sit down, almost forget where you are, until you spot the pony Miller Lite and a shot combo on the menu for 24 bucks. Oh right I'm still in tribecca
