Marshe Madison used to be An incredible institution of this neighborhood, while being very overpriced, I thought the food was excellent and I’m sure other people did too and they had a phenomenal selection. Now it looks like it underwent surgery. The staff are aggresively mediocre and not very friendly, the selection was maybe a quarter of what they used to have while the pricing remained exactly the same and the quality much lower. My father told me that he had seen that storefront cycle through businesses until the original Marshe Madison took over For a very long time. Now, I wouldn’t be surprised If that trend were to pick up again. Bring back the old Marché and the wonderful staff that used to work there :(

The heavy cream with a Dec 2nd 25 date bought today, 11/22/25 were both solid inside the unopened carton. Will never get dairy products there again.

prices are arbitrary (and very inflated) - i was charged nearly $8 for a simple egg+cheese, when the posted price said $6 and it even says $6.99 literally written on my sandwich. 2 stars instead of 1 bc customer service is always good. but the price gouging is ridiculous

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Not only do they charge double price for deli items and coffee, they charge over double for pre-packaged goods. 2$ bags of chips for 5$, 3$ protein bars for over 7$. If there was a way to inform suppliers about gross price gouging I would absolutely report them. Do yourself a favor and walk down a couple of avenues to a different shop thats priced reasonably. Friendly staff all things considered. 0/5

There is not a single thing about this deli that is gourmet. They tried to charge me $14 for two bottles of Evian. The food is cheap and gross. We deserve a real deli in this neighborhood.

“I’ve been coming to this deli almost every day for the past three years because of its location near my job, and I always order the same bagel. Today, I was met with unbelievable disrespect. The manager, who claimed to be in charge, immediately yelled at me as I walked in and told me I was no longer welcome to order a bagel because I ‘complain too much.’
Let me be clear—I’ve only voiced concerns twice in three years, and only because I’m paying nearly $5 for a bagel that’s often made wrong. Yet I’ve always accepted it as is and even tip generously to support the rest of the staff. But today’s experience was beyond unprofessional. Who does he think he is, refusing service and treating a loyal customer this way? I honestly wonder if he would have spoken to me like that if I were a man.
If you’re considering this place, save your money and avoid the disrespect. There are better places that value their customers.”

Today I entered the store Marche Madison on 1 ave, the man there called me the manager, but I don't want to believe it, he was a very rude person. He told my son to leave the store. What's wrong, he was passed the ball with his friend.I think 100 sure he is raises.He told them not to play with the ball, and I I agree. The store is not a playground, but I don't agree with the fact that he rudely told them not to come to the store again. Who gave him this authority?
