Marcia Selden Catering & Events

My niece got married and used Marcia Selden Catering for all of it. There were three days of events where catering was needed. It seemed as if it was all of the same staff that worked all of them. They were all friendly, accommodating, and very professional. By the end of it all, I felt as if we had known all of them forever. That was really cool. The plethora of passed apps, dinner buffet, cocktails, and the the brunch buffet were THE best catered food I have ever had in my entire life and 30+ year career in the food and beverage industry. Me and my party that I came with (one of which owns a catering company in another state) were totally blown away. I live on the other side of the country now. But, the Selden’s food made me feel completely at “home” again. Truly impressive. I highly recommend them for any of your occasions.

I have worked with Marcia Selden Catering in the last 10 years as a personal customer, a guest and a non-profit event planner. When I need a top-notch professional catering and event planning partner, I go to Marcia Selden's. They've catered a 10 person dinner at our home (where they magically made an already decided menu even though our oven ran out of gas), a 400 person fundraising event, and recently a 200 person party where everyone was happy with the food. They are an excellent partner. Their salmon is the best!

We had an amazing experience with Marcia Selden Caterers. We did a cocktail party with dinner by the bite - All the food was delicious, innovative and so beautifully presented. Gina who ran our party was terrific - kept me informed so that I had nothing to worry about but talking to our guests. Entire staff was professional and friendly. They handled everything including rentals, linens, etc - Home was spotless when they left. Would definitely use Marcia Selden again.

I recently had an outdoor wedding in a remote area of Ct. The quality of the food and service provided was beyond compare. Meals were served promptly and professionally . Countless guests commented on the hot food they were served at a fairly large wedding and felt like they were in a Michelin starred restaurant in Manhattan. If you want an A+ experience use this caterer.

Wow wow WOW!! Marcia Selden Catering is the best. I hired them for a lunch for 30 people at my apartment in NYC. The food was beautiful and delicious and the service was flawless and friendly. They effortlessly managed changes to the schedule and anticipated what we needed throughout the event. Every single person on the team is truly phenomenal - Jimmy and Eddie in the kitchen, Cesar and Alex and Alexa and Isaac serving, and Luis managing it all. They clearly love what they do, and they do it all so expertly!! I immediately decided to hire them again for my next event!

In both happy and difficult times, working with the staff at Marcia Selden makes an event beautiful and delicious. From the initial contact until the last dish was cleaned, everything was easy and perfect. The menu, presentation, and tastes were wonderful. And, I really can’t say enough about the staff who set up and assisted guests, truly professional.

Jeffrey Selden is fantastic, extremely helpful and made the whole experience terrific. He coordinated the gift delivery of delicious meals for the essential healthcare team at WPH PT unit. Would recommend this great caterer to everybody.
