We had such a disappointing experience at the hotel bar. The bartender “Sal” and one of the servers kept staring at me, my husband, and our two friends the whole time. It felt so uncomfortable and unprofessional. At one point, the bartender was literally laughing straight at my husband while staring, which was beyond rude. It completely ruined the vibe for us. Honestly the worst bartender we’ve ever encountered.

The Mark Bar is a fun, stylish little hideaway just steps from Central Park and connected to the beautiful Mark Hotel. Compared to some of the more formal spots nearby, it has a relaxed, welcoming vibe that’s perfect after a day of shopping or wandering the Upper East Side.
The bartender was truly fantastic—attentive, personable, and clearly passionate about the drinks. The Cucumber Mint Martini came highly recommended, and it delivered. Refreshing, balanced, and just what you want after a hot day—the mint was subtle but gave a nice cooling finish.
The only drawback (and why it’s not a full 5 stars) was the wait staff—service was very slow. Still, it’s a great place to unwind and sip something well-made in a comfortable, upscale atmosphere.

It was so crowded and some workers were rude, I get that it was crowded but there is no reason why they pushed me while I was standing in a corner. I didn’t get an apology from the worker who pushed me and neither from the worker who witnessed it. It was a total chaos.

It’s a cool place but not a serious bar. The bartenders are befuddled and distracted. This is not a good bar experience in New York for the exorbitant price. A basic martini order is apparently a jigsaw puzzle to the bartenders. You’re better off spending your exorbitant expenditure at any of the other exorbitant expensive bars in the area

This was the most expensive and worst hot chocolate I’ve ever had. I’ve eaten at the restaurant but I’m shocked they were also so rude at the bar. I did not have a food experience and I’m really disappointed

Visiting from out of town… Food and drinks were good but our experience was ruined when the lady sommelier picked food off of a plate and put it in her pocket… Very gross! Everyone else was friendly.

To be here is to be everywhere and to not want to be anywhere else. Sure the prices may seem higher than other watering holes, but the margins aren't crazy.
They are serving quality products on some of the most desirable real estate on earth. A+ to the bartenders for great service.

Nice vibe in the bar, however the service and quality was terrible. I ordered a gin martini, and the bartender asked if I wanted vermouth in it……… took forever to close out. When you’re paying NYC prices you better have your service dialed.

Went for a coffee, the waiters are really not organized, brought coffee with no milk, took forever to get me some milk, but the place is very elegant and classy, the ice cream was amazing.
