⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — A Hidden Gem Nestled on Amsterdam Avenue: Marlow Bistro Marlow Bistro is the kind of place that reminds you why dining in New York City is so special. Nestled along Amsterdam Avenue, this charming neighborhood spot delivers a dining experience that feels both elevated and comforting from the moment you walk in. We started with the Autumn Soup, an apple rutabaga soup served with toasted brioche and pomegranate. It struck the perfect balance of sweet and savory, beautifully layered and full of fall flavor. Next, the Cappellacci Ai Funghi was absolutely spectacular, filled with shiitake and white mushrooms, tossed in a luscious truffle butter, and topped with Parmesan cheese. Every bite was rich, earthy, and perfectly crafted. Honestly, if I had more room, I would have ordered a second serving, it was that good. The Burger was equally impressive, juicy and perfectly cooked, topped with bacon onion jam and Gorgonzola, all tucked into a soft brioche bun. The side of shoestring potatoes was crisp, golden, and addictive, the ideal complement. We also enjoyed the Margherita, mozzarella, cherry tomato, and basil on a thin, flavorful crust. A timeless classic done flawlessly. To drink, the Green Giant was the perfect refreshment, Seedlip Garden 108, soda, cucumber, and mint, light, crisp, and aromatic, beautifully complementing every dish. Every element of our meal at Marlow Bistro reflected care, creativity, and genuine warmth. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the cozy atmosphere made for a relaxed, memorable evening. If you're looking for a true neighborhood gem that celebrates seasonal ingredients and thoughtful flavors, Marlow Bistro on Amsterdam Avenue deserves a spot at the very top of your list.
Marlow Bistro is a cozy spot that brings Mediterranean vibes to the table in the best way. The food is fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Every dish feels light but satisfying, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. The place has a warm, relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind and enjoy your meal. The staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, adding to the laid-back feel. Whether you're out for a casual dinner or catching up with friends, Marlow Bistro is the kind of place you'll want to come back to again and again.
The new menu at Marlow Bistro is fantastic. Everything feels fresh and seasonal, with just the right mix of comforting favorites and exciting new dishes. The starters are bright and shareable, the mains are full of flavor, and the wine pairings make it all come together. The service is warm and attentive without ever feeling rushed, which makes the whole experience even better. It's the kind of menu that makes you want to come back soon and try everything.
There's good news and bad news: the good news is that my husband's roasted chicken dinner was exceptionall. The bad news is that the recent menu change eliminated the VERY BEST CAULIFLOWER DISH that I had come back just to have a second time. I was so disappointed.
We had very bad experience yesterday. Menu on OpenTable and on their website is totally different from the menu I was given. The actual menu is very ordinary. $14 for a side of French fries? My son's chicken entree was good, wife's pizza was ok, my steak was horrible. Only 2 waiters were there to serve all tables indoor and outdoor. Our food took 45 mins to arrive. My wife's wine was bad so was my old fashion. My second old fashion came right before I was done with my dinner (which was order 20 mins ago). Overall I felt like cheated because I went there after looking at the menu on OpenTable and also on their website. I couldn't leave because my son had limited time with us for dinner otherwise I would have left right away. Never going back again.
They changed the menu recently and it's not as good. Plus the prices went up I think and pretty expensive for what it is. The food was just mediocre
Plant based is posted everywhere. But all the pastas have eggs and none of the deserts for the prefix for restaurant week were vegan.
Jalena and Antonio were fabulous! We had a great experience and they were so accommodating with our baby. Plenty of space for a stroller and the food is delicious!

A beautiful spot in the neighborhood!
The atmosphere is charming and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Jelena and Antonio were especially attentive and helpful—they really made the experience memorable. I’ll definitely be returning, especially for the Aperol Spritz!

I have been walking past this restaurant for years always saying ‘I’ll go in next time’.
Today was the day.
I went in to ask if they had an Aperol Spritz on their menu.
And they made a mean Aperol - perfectly balanced.
I also ordered the Artichokes from the Happy Hour menu and they were divine.
I was so taken by the place that my boyfriend came to join me there for another round.
We had a lovely time and Jelena and Antonio were very attentive and knowledable.
Will be back for sure!!

Review for Marlow Bistro – Amazing Experience!
My friend and I visited Marlow Bistro during NYC Restaurant Week, and everything about our dinner was outstanding—from the food to the ambiance to the exceptional service.
The menu offered a fantastic variety, and every dish we tried was fresh and flavorful. We shared the Little Gem Salad and Cauliflower appetizers, followed by the Cappellacci Ai Funghi pasta and Margherita pizza. Each bite was delicious, and we ended the meal with a rich and creamy Tiramisu. During happy hour, we also enjoyed a couple of refreshing Aperol Spritzes, which were the perfect complement to the meal.
What truly made the evening special was the outstanding service provided by Jelena and Jean Paul. Jelena was our main server, and she was incredibly welcoming, kind, and attentive throughout our visit. She never made us feel rushed, and her upbeat energy added to the warm, inviting atmosphere. Jean Paul was equally helpful, making sure our experience was seamless. Together, they created a relaxed and enjoyable dining environment that made us feel well cared for.
The restaurant itself is beautiful stunning flower arrangements hanging from the ceiling—perfect for a cozy and elegant dinner setting.
Between the exceptional service, delicious food, and lovely ambiance, I highly recommend Marlow Bistro—and I especially want to thank Jelena and Jean Paul for making our visit so wonderful. They absolutely deserve recognition for their hard work and hospitality!
