This was a perfect lunch of Russian cuisine, about which I was woefully uninformed & inexperienced until now. Black tea w/ honey, Oliver salad, salmon soup, traditional chicken patties w/ buckwheat, & black bread. The chicken cutlets were delightfully tart, such that they paired nicely w/ a touch of ketchup. Plenty to take home afterward.
I will say not very much because it was dirty and stuffy for a very long time; we only ordered 2 borscht and it took almost 1 hour to make it. Everything was delicious, I recommend the borscht and cherry compote, but another minus was that we looked for a restaurant for about 5 minutes because there were saunas and swimming pools, we paid a lot for 2 borschts, about $30 plus taxes and tips
Wow. What some great good. Little place tucked away in a Turkish bath house but worth going. Very friendly staff and gave great recomondations. The food was so tasty. I've never been to Russia but I'm assuming if I had a Russian grandmother this is how they would cook the food. So good.
