Matto Espresso is a great option when you need a fast, no-fuss coffee. The shop is small, but they do have limited outdoor seating if you want to sit for a bit.
The staff is friendly and efficient, which makes the experience easy and pleasant.

It’s not a place to linger indoors, but for a quick caffeine stop with good service, it gets the job done. Would recommend if you’re nearby and need coffee on the move.

A small little store but the servers are always quick, friendly, and knowledgeable! The only con would be the space of the shop since the pick up station is right next to the door but that’s not the fault of the store or employees that’s just typical NYC shops

$2 for a small drip coffee and $3.50 for a blueberry muffin is a gift in New York. Come support this cafe! The outdoor seating is also nice.

Lady at the counter was very nice and gave me napkins, the food was average except the pistachio muffin, that was above average.

This place offered a great escape on my break with lots of fun options and good service. I hope the Croissantwich will be offered room temperature rather than hot, but it was still very good!

If i were leaving this review last year, it would have been more a 4-5. I was excited to tell EVERYBODY about Matto. Not anymore. They use to have everything for $2.50 which is amazing even if the drinks weren't. I like a good bit of their food. Stuff like brownies, almond croissant. My family was really surprised they had really good vegan/vegetarian breakfast sandwiches. The drinks were pretty meh. Some watery. Some ok. I didn't feel bad giving my kids a treat here. I was happy to see them popping up everywhere. They were the poor man's starbucks lol Then prices became $2.75. Ok. Then $3 *on select items aka the more boring drinks. If you wanna jazz them up, that'll cost you. Syrup? 75c. Who the HELL charges for whipped cream? Let alone $1.25? Tfoh haha Now a drink might be like $6 which is getting close to starbucks prices without being rich dark Starbucks coffee. The good times are over lol Thought you were suppose to become MORE affordable the more popular you became. You all could have gone against the grain and been that rare city gem that remained cheap.
