I was returning home after a long walk around midtown and decided to stop at this Matto to get a coffee and snack. Ordered Americano and a pistachio muffin. Coffee was great and muffin was delicious. Limited seating inside and outside.

I ordered through app. Was on bus. When I got there, the door was locked but employee was still there. She brought my order to the door and placed in my cart. Croissant were not very secured in small bags. Should have been placed in a handle bag. I fortunately had a bag I could put everything in, then in cart. Grateful I still got my order but not happy with packaging. Also, one of Croissants was dry.

I would love it if your baristas practice proper food safety. It’s really unsettling to know that they’ll put their fingers in my coffee cup without gloves, on or in general.
The coffee was also burnt.

I just find it so disgusting to see food I purchased seeping through the paper bag it was cooked in laying on a questionably clean counter. Is a double bag to keep it sanitary too much to ask? It’s literally I rarely go here anymore.
No real menu in store, have to download the app to view menu. App is not user friendly at all, you have to give them a certain balance of money before it will let you pay. My iced coffee had grounds all in the bottom, but I guess you get what you pay for?♀️
