After having a coffee while reading my book, I asked could I use the restroom before leaving. I was told there wasn’t one. I turned my back to the counter and began chatting with someone I met while there only to turn around and see another guest coming from the back. I asked if he had gone to the bathroom and he said yes and that he was given a bathroom code. I’m not sure why I wasn’t allowed to use the bathroom but my rating reflects the service I received from the lady behind the counter today.
Update: After being contacted about this review, I realized that that some of the staff is very untruthful. l was told a lie regarding the customer that used the bathroom stating he was a driver and that the restroom is for employees only. I’m not sure what kind of driving he was doing as he came in with another person, bought coffee, and sat to talk for about an hour. He asked to use the restroom just like I did. VERY dishonest & disrespectful company.

The cappuccino is excellent and the burraka breads are delicious, the girl in the photo here is bad-tempered and responds to me with a bad attitude, afterwards everything is excellent.

I really appreciate their $3 coffee that is available through the app. They have a wide selection of coffee and matcha beverages for just $3. Can’t beat it. The shop is clean and has seating available and the service is top notch. My new coffee spot!

Had some time to kill after my appointment and ended up having a blast! The music was on point, and the barista was incredibly friendly and genuine. I'll definitely be returning to this spot whenever I'm in the area.
The barista even helped me out with my app – turns out I had a total brain freeze and forgot how to use it. There was also another customer there who brought such a positive and lively energy to the place. It was a really cool vibe.
I love seeing businesses thrive in this predominantly Latin/Hispanic neighborhood. Now, if only we could get one of these in Inwood too!

I remember when this place first opened and everything was $1.50. It was a cute little spot and I’d stop in when I could. Coffee isn’t the most amazing but you are able to get some tasty lattes and change up your milks. Love the almond croissant. Tried the cheese bureka and it was a greasy mess. The atmosphere is nice and I thought I’d go in and do some work when the worker informed me there is no wifi for customers. Further disappointed when I tried to use the bathroom and was informed that wasn’t for customers either! Doesn’t seem right and definitely detracts from the appeal of Matto.
