The hostess was so rude
Felt very old NYC— no jockeying for a reservation or eating at 5pm! Loved every second and had the sweetest server/bartender. Lasagna was wildly delicious! I’ll be back ♥️♥️

The service and food was 5 stars. The place is a bit loud so not a good place to go with low talkers but we loved it and will definitely be back.
Came here for a glass of wine and was served a terrible red “their best”. I had a sip and left however charged without any remorse of the poor quality & service provided. I would never return. Poor quality. Rude management.

Authentic, simple, flavorful, perfect. We had the gnocchi, squid ink pasta, ravioli, and burrata - recommend all, but if you had to choose one, it’s the ravioli. 👌

The staff was so friendly and the food was excellent. If we ever make it back to New York we will DEFINITELY be eating here again!
Everyone was so accommodating with our 8 month old and stroller!! The food is fantastic. Great neighborhood spot.
I would have been happy to give fives across the board, but….For having such a beautiful bar with lots of seating, the “bar menu” was missing. No beer selection or cocktail offerings on the menu. Wine list seemed quite varied, the house Chianti is excellent.
The service is outstanding, prompt and friendly, the menu is simple but doesn’t miss a beat. I had spaghetti with a lamb meat sauce that was exceptionally savory. My wife had lemon chicken, also scrumptious, with mashed potatoes that were excellent as well.
As for the deserts, leave some room!!
We Intend to return, for this excellent, moderately priced experience. Highly recommend that you check them out!

Can’t do better in Tribeca. Food, service and drinks are just so good. The attention to detail and consistency to good food is what makes this spot so special. I have been a fan since the alphabet city location and they just keep it up. Bring a date here or a group of people you love. You won’t regret it.

Service has a little bit of room for improvement (took 20 minutes from the time we sat down until the waiter came to take our drink orders) but the food was incredible and I will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
What a wonderful evening we had at Max. We met amazing regulars, their staff was very attentive, and the meal was on point from beginning to end. For us, we had the Caesar Salad, Fried Olives, and Fettucine al Sugo Toscano. Here are the things I'd recommend...Caesar is awesome, but I'd do shaved parmesan instead of shredded cheese on top. The olives, needs a sauce...I think Pesto would be perfect. The fettucine, amazing. And the wine from Bolgheri...absolutely amazing. Recommend this highly for a meal at Max.
Max is a neighborhood gem! Not quite a secret but also a place that flies a bit under the radar, which is fine with me - it's not impossible to get a reservation.
Great experience except the host abruptly asked us to leave the table right after we signed the check. Service was a little slow, no complaints, but then we were asked to get up.
