The hostess was the best. She was welcoming and remembered my name from calling regarding my reservation. The food was really good and the drink recommendation was spot on!
This place has really gone downhill. Server was nice but food took 45 minutes to come out. There were very few people in the restaurant. There was construction that was very loud. Food was ok, but not great.
Was looking forwarding to taking our nephews here but the service was horrible, the food was basic and overpriced and the chocolate fondues, which we were really looking forward to, were not so great and really expensive for the amount of dessert received. Wouldn't go back.
Great place to enjoy desserts and the delectable chocolate. Food was decent not fabulous, but I would suggest definitely coming in already eating so you can enjoy your dessert
Overall a cool dining experience in a nice vibrant neighborhood. Tasty dishes, especially the dessert fondue. I wish our appetizers arrived first, but they unfortunately came a little cold and at the same time with our entrees.
Food was terrific waiter attentive overall great experience with great music. We were on time for our Movie as well;)
Food is great. Used to be busy. Now there is no vibe at all. No music, no crowds. Very quiet.
I love that place so much excellent service took a little while but best desserts I always celebrated my sons birthday he loves also the chocolate desserts I highly recommend that place
First impression was that I was really happy I chose the restaurant for it's decor. I was also mostly pleased with the service. Prices were reasonable considering it was a touristy experience. We went because we wanted to try the European chocolate fondue dessert. Started with pizza and salad. The pizza for me was not edible. Perhaps the worst I've ever had. I ate two bites. My husband forced himself to finish half since he hates to waste—and it was small. Salad would have been okay but it was filled with the stems from the arugula. Needed salt terribly and none at the table. Ended up ordering the Churros as I lost my appetite to get the larger dessert. Horrible! Stale. Dense. I've never had even close to a churro this bad. In fact I've never had a bad churro. Beyond disappointing.
Great experience. It was a hot afternoon and Max Brenner's was the perfect place for a delicious lunch with drinks to end our weekend! 5/5 will go again!

Thought this would be the perfect spot for location to trains and non-alcohol options. Upon arrival the music was too loud and I asked the waiter if it I could move to a table further from the speaker. He offered to turn the music down which was great. He was very accommodating and attentive and I had no issues with the service. The food all came at once and was good. The inspection was listed as C on the window and we did not see that until we left. I was disappointed that such a well known name would have that rating. I wish I had been advised when booking.
The servers were pleasant. The alcoholic drinks are overpriced Anna's had mostly ice and hardly any alcohol in them. The chocolate fondue tasted fine but wasn't really exceptional. The floors were worn down abs or tables were uneven and shaky. I excepted more from the name brand.
My friend and I had a very good dinner and a delicious dessert! We arrived early so had a chance to chat while things were very quiet and even as the restaurant got busier, the noise level was not too bad. Our waiter was very pleasant and we look forward to coming back again.
The 80s milkshake saved this from being a one star review. The burgers were definitely heated-up frozen patties. Fries were cold and dry. Service was okay. Minimum interaction, pleasant enough, but not engaging. Volume was LOUD, so very difficult to hear others. Definitely not something I would do again. Our bill for two burgers, a kids meal, and milkshake was over $100. Not abominable by NYC standards, but too high given the poor quality of food.
The experience far surpassed our expectations. The food was excellent and portions were generous. The service was fantastic!
