I started out with a fresh tasting green papaya salad. I then ordered the Laab Pak, which had fantastic flavor and was so filling, they were happy to make this dish a little less spicy for me. I also got the Tom yam soup which was so tasty!
Not my favorite Thai I’ve had, but it felt very authentic, healthy, and enjoyable. Also, May is so friendly and she provides a very welcoming presence to the restaurant.
All vegan, delicious, fresh food. The haw mokk curry was a different taste than we typically find and amazing! Try that. The tom yum soup was among the best we’ve had anywhere. Nice people run this little gem of a place. And karaoke!
Went on a very cold Wednesday evening, and it was entirely empty. But the food and service was well worth it! We chose a cozy corner of the restaurant, and the owner kindly pulled out a large portable heater to bring additional comfort. We ordered the following, all of which was pretty tasty although slightly small portions for the main entrees. - Thai Iced Tea (pitcher for $14) - Pumpkin Hummus (appetizer): good portion size; surprisingly warm hummus with a unique and pleasant, subtle taste; topped with a spicy sauce - Drunken Noodles, May Kee Mao (entree): tasty and somewhat spicy - Eggplant with Shiitake Mushrooms (entree) requested to be less spicy: mushrooms was delicious but eggplant was a little lackluster - Black sticky rice with mango & banana: a delicious vegan alternative to this classic Thai dessert Overall, would definitely go back!
Amazing food
wow! the May Kaidee team is phenomenal in every aspect. They were super supportive and helpful when organizing a large takeout order and their vegan & GF options were a hit amongst the group as everyone was able to be included! We ordered the Pad thai, Pad See U & Green Curry. People went for seconds and thirds because of how good the flavors were! There was the perfect amount of spice and the flavors blended great. I can’t wait to pay May Kaidee another visit. Huge thank you to JD and the team for being so accommodating.

A real hidden gem. Feels like a home cooked meal every time. Would go out of my way to eat here always
Incredible establishment. Great food and the best time of your life if you get the honor of doing karaoke with them. Such a special experience when not only the food is memorable but the people are too. I was in stitches laughing so much and went home with a full belly and in high spirits.

Amazing place. The best Thai food I've ever had. The atmosphere is so genuine too. Can't recommend enough to go here and everything is vegan.

When I first saw the menu, I was worried cause it looked like there are no non-spicy options. So I was very happy to find 2 of my favourite flavours in 2 dishes. Cinnamon soup and fried pineapple rice, which I topped with seitan duck. It was quite late on a rainy day, so I was super happy to he lovingly received by May. She gave me travel advice for Thailand and we had a lovely chat. Can't wait to be back!
Small business, a lot of heart. Food is good 👍

Best Thai food in Thailand… I mean in New York! Wholeheartedly an unforgettable experience.
We came on a Saturday night, and were invited to join the party in the back. The unassuming ambiance was welcoming: green disco lights, karaoke, and a beautiful Thai woman (May) dressed in traditional attire asking to cook for us. May proceeded to promptly bring out 6 generous courses of authentic vegan Thai food. We have no idea what we ate, but every dish was delightfully memorable.
The hospitality here is out of this world. May’s staff love what they do and I felt like I was leaving a family barbecue. Stomachs full, hearts fuller.
