Stopped in on a Friday evening. The bartenders were very nice and helpful. An unexpected medical emergency occured with a guest sitting near, and it was amazing how many people helped. The bartenders immediately took action, were empathetic, and communicated seamlessly. It's a great spot (while enjoying Los Tacos too!) and due to the customer service, a must do in Chelsea Market.

The two gentlemen were friendly, the beer selection was limited, but it was pleasant,

The place offers a great selection of craft and draft beers, which are definitely a highlight. However, the service leaves something to be desired, as it can be less attentive than expected dor a tourist. Additionally, the prices are on the higher side, which may not be ideal for everyone looking for an affordable experience. Despite these drawbacks, the beer quality makes it worth checking out, but it’s important to be prepared for the other aspects that might not meet your expectations.

My experience at Mayhem Bar was a mix of frustration and disappointment. From the start, the service from the first bartender was underwhelming. She showed a complete lack of empathy, didn’t bother to explain how the bar or the menu worked, and made me feel rushed to place my order. Her distant and uninterested attitude made the entire experience uncomfortable.

Fortunately, another bartender, Andrea, stepped in with a kind gesture by letting me sample a beer before making my decision, which briefly improved the situation. However, when I asked her for the name of the first bartender, Andrea became defensive and overly protective, ruining the positive impression she had just made.

A place like this should prioritize customer service, but poor communication, lack of empathy, and awkward interactions overshadowed any positive aspects. I wouldn’t recommend this bar until they improve their staff training and overall service quality.

They have an amazing sour beer! Although I didn’t have much appetite to try their sandwiches, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. A great perk is that you can enjoy your beer even if you’re grabbing tacos from the place next door. Highly recommended

Seems like this place is a mixed bag of reviews, but when I was at Chelsea Market with some clients recently for business we plopped down at the bar here and ordered a few drinks. The bartender was really friendly and helpful; she was great. The beer was great as well, and was refreshing on an otherwise hot muggy day in NYC. While not a very memorable experience, it was a good one, and we were all happy we stopped here for a quick drink.

If heaven was in the form of a beer bar this is the place. Bury me here. The fried chicken sandwich with spicy aioli is amazing and the watermelon margs are chef’s kiss.

this is the worst place in the world. first of all they only had 2 options for sandwiches while they literally have the word sandwich in their name. the sandwiches are plain, boring and dry and you only get meat and sauce for 14 DOLLARS. NO FRIES INCLUDED! second of all we had to wait too long for them to make that easy a$$ plain a$$ sandwich. while we were waiting we wanted to sit down at their bar and the worker came up to us and asked us for our age, and told us that we cant even sit there since we're underage, even though we made it clear that we don't want anything to drink, we just want to eat their food there. the sandwich was not even that good for the price i paid and i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Your bartender Denzel wrongfully accused me of stealing someone's credit card on Saturday. He called security for no reason and he found a picture of the the person who actually did it and the person looked nothing like me, I really didn't appreciate that at all just to let you guys know. This was in Chelsea market

Bussing good sandwiches and nice selection of beer. This is the spot to be to get a nice coldie and chill right in the center of Chelsea markets hustle and food bustle. The customer service is top tier. Shout out to "sammy sweetheart"!

I stopped by with a friend just to get one drink. In fact we were looking for a different bar and stumbled on this one. We both had the strawberry margaritas. My friend had the classic one and I had the spicy one. My gosh! I really am not exaggerating when I say that this was the best margarita I have had in a while. Can't speak for the food but highly recommend this place for a quick drink. By the way, we ended up having a second round ☺️

Where not to go!
The first thing in life and more so in the hospitality industry are manners, education, treatment,…
Our vacations in NY are for 4, my wife and my two daughters (15/12 years old) have not had a single problem in the 6 days.
We got there, sat down, and the waitress rudely told us “we don't allow minors.”
It's one thing that you don't serve me alcohol and another that in a market full of hospitality options and full of families you make that nonsense! And it can be said in a more delicate and tactful way. Anyway, where NOT to go!!!
