Service was exceptional. The Early Bourbon Deal (2oz pour each) is interesting with some unique options. I chose to go with the Weller Special Reserve! Steak Tartare app is well portioned and just right tasting-not an overwhelming raw taste! Well done Maysville!!

Big fan of this place. Classy atmosphere, friendly & talented bartender, wasn't overcrowded, really good cocktails and the food we tried was pretty awesome. We only went for snacks so we sat at the bar and had the shrimp toast and the wings. The shrimp toast was AMAZING - we ordered a second one because we wanted more. It's tough to find these little gems that aren't too pricey or fancy that you can walk in after work and have good food and good drinks with great service, this is your place.

Great $8 bourbon based happy hour until 6! Enough room for 4 to sit. Simple back lit bar design and a half wall separating the bar from diners and intimate tables. Loved the horse illustrations on the wall and attentive bar tenders. Drunk guy was swiftly escorted out without much of a scene. They comped my friend's drink because he grabbed her arm and was aggressive. The place is small, but there's enough people to keep things in check! Paying the bill was a bit messy, but overall a good experience.

Came here as Gotham social recommended their burger to be in their top ten for the year. We were greeted and serviced by a hostess and waiter who were very obviously not in the mood to be at work. No smiles or responses after saying thank you. I'm not usually one to be bothered by bad customer service but their presence makes you feel unwelcomed. My wife had the trial by fire cocktail which was strong with lots of heat but in a good way. I had one of their barreled whiskeys which had a sting bite to it. Not very smooth with overly sweet notes from the sherry cask. For dinner, we started with the steak tartare. Big portion with a slightly mild taste to it. Nothing overpowering but also a tad on the bland side. Hush puppies were disgustingly overly salty. Even with the sauce on the side, you couldn't get over that punch of salt. The burger was an even bigger disappointment. Bun was not fresh, meat was burnt to the point of giving off bitter notes, and the sauce was non existent. Worst burger I've had in a while. 5 guys burger would've been easily more satisfying. Overall, $100+ bill with everything all around disappointing. Never again. As Ariana Grande would say, "Thank you, next!" Lol

Where do I begin... unfortunately I was underwhelmed and disappointed with my experience at Maysville. My husband is a fan of bourbon, especially Pinhook... so we were led here. First impressions matter and the waitress failed in this area. She lacked knowledge of items on the menu, was not enthusiastic at all when asked for recommendations and to top it off when she sought help from the bar staff, they were even less enthusiastic and appeared to be bothered by the ask. Mind you, it was an off night and there was a total of 10 people in the restaurant of which we were 5. The food was overpriced considering the portions and lack of wow factor... although the black truffle risotto deserved a 5 star rating. Long story short, we will not be returning...

Very cozy and inviting. Great selection of bourbons. Perfect date spot and drinks are very good.

Yum! All things considered, this is one of the best brunch spots I've been to - awesome food, huge drink selection and great cocktails (also strong!), beautiful interior, friendly service. We ordered the monkey bread to start - a little overbaked on the outside and inside was on the drier side too, but it's also just $3 for the muffin-sized pastry so you could definitely do worse. Entrees were the smoked duck omelette and Maysville burger. The omelette was good but not memorable, pretty generously sized and stuffed with duck but there wasn't actually much flavour in it. The burger, on the other hand, was AMAZING. It's on the smaller side and will set you back a cool $23, but god if it wasn't one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The beef was perfect, and there was a sauce in it called Sauce 561 (never heard of it before) that really made it. Legitimately would go back just for that burger. The array of whiskeys is both impressive and stunning to look at at the bar. I can't speak to how Maysville is for dinner, but it's certainly perfect for brunch and/or a date.

Stopped in while walking by with some time to kill before our Escape the Room and popped in for a drink with our friends. Brunch was on and the place about 1/2 full. The two whiskey drinkers were thrilled by the outstanding selection and each grabbed a 2oz pour (1oz pours are also available) - served with a glass of cubes on the side. The non-whiskey drinkers, including me, opted for a dark beer and bubbles. Everyone was happy! The space is clean and the bar seats are comfortable, so I could see settling in for an evening. The marble bar is classy and there are a mix of interesting "bites" available, including pork rinds... The regular menu is short but should work, as the REAL reason you are here is for the whiskey

Since I enjoyed Char No. 4 in Brooklyn, I was happy to see them open a restaurant near me. I've been here several times and enjoy the food and drinks every time. The chef has changed, which also changed the menu. We were disappointed some of our fav dishes were removed, but new menu offers some great flavors (yummy gumbo!) Whiskey-based drinks are not always my favorite, but that's what I normally stick to at this place because I find their other cocktails can be hit or miss. Service is usually good. One time when we were in the bar area, we expressed one of us didn't like the cocktail, and the waiter gracefully offered to bring another drink of choice. Big thumb up. But we've had just a meh service at a table. We normally order a bunch of small dishes to share, but sometimes they bring them all at once which makes our smaller table chaotic. (Also, you know, the type of waiter who retrieves the signed credit card receipt too quickly and opens to see how much tip was written before he is even 3 feet away? Yeah.) If you come here with the right expectations - to have good southern inspired food and drinks that have whiskey, in a sleek but not stuffy place - you can see they unique beauty of this place.

This place has gone downhill since hiring the new chef. It's moved away from its classic Kentucky styled dishes and has added a lot of contemporary stuffier items to the menu. We ordered the deviled eggs, the black eyed pea hummus, the sweet potato en papillote, the dirty rice risotto, the Persian cucumber salad, and the gumbo. The deviled eggs were ok, nothing outstanding, and same goes for the black eyed pea hummus. The pita that came with the black eyed pea hummus was not great and cold too. As for entrees, the dirty rice risotto was my favorite and the sweet potato en papillote wasn't bad, but it's a dish I could've made at home. As for the Persian cucumber salad, this had really no flavor at all. It seemed as if they had sliced the cucumbers and just thrown some sesame seeds on top. We also ordered the chocolate bourbon mousse which was ok--nothing outstanding again. The chicken under a brick used to be the go to item and now they've taken that off and other menu items that used to be here which is a shame. The space is still beautiful and they still have a great bar, but the food is definitely skippable.

Upscale, beautiful, but not stuffy. This is just for the bar. I haven't eaten here yet but I will come back. Didn't realize it was 5 years old. Passed on the way home from Sid's Gold Room a few weeks ago and drawn to the equestrian art. It's not cheap but it's like drinking/eating in a museum. A FB friend who is working in Hong Kong (many years) said it was one of his go-to places in the area. He lives in Chelsea. It's a vibrant crowd, too. Not like my area where everyone is over 50 or 55. More a place for solvent 30s and 40s, with some 50s. Not a Boomer crowd at all.

I have to admit, I am biased because I love bourbon & whiskey...and Maysville has a fantastic offering. This is the first place that has so many very good options for drink. And, they are the only place that offers whiskey in a carafe! In addition to all of this, the food was very good too. We were a party of six and everyone had an excellent meal. Keep it up.

I'll keep this short and sweet. Must haves: Persian Cucumber Salad Pulled Pork Sandwich Shrimp Toast

Came here twice for drinks. I love the Smoky and Boulevardier. It's above average cocktail level. Trail by Fire was too spicy. l had to take the pepper out to drink it.

Happy hour is excellent here, grab a old fashion and relax if you're ever in the Flatiron area. The nor'easter cocktail is also fantastic!
