I had high hopes for Max Mezcal, but it turned out to be one of the most disappointing Mexican restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. To start, they somehow decided to use parsley instead of cilantro in their dishes, which just doesn’t make sense for a Mexican restaurant. The flavors were completely off, and the service was below average.
We ordered the veggie and steak fajitas. The veggie fajitas were literally just steamed vegetables with no seasoning or flavor. The steak was overcooked and dry, which was a real letdown. While the portion sizes were generous, the taste was completely lacking.
The only redeeming part of the meal was the chips and salsa, which were actually quite good. But aside from that, nothing else was worth the visit. Even the drinks were terrible.
If you’re craving Mexican food, I’d recommend skipping Max Mezcal and heading to Taco Bell instead—you’ll save money and probably enjoy your meal a lot more. Not a place I’d recommend at all.

The Mole pablano was great! Deff worth going back for. Also go the Short rib Mole but I say stick with the chicken Pablano. Guacamole was light and creamy and could add in pomegranate which was dope. Drinks were lovely too!
