Great Irish pub in the area. Posted up at the bar with my wife for some perfectly poured pints of Guinness. No notes, great pours. We chatted with Matthew and he was delightful. We loved it so much back we came back the second night of our two night NYC trip as well for a couple more pints.

Place stays open after 4:00am. Dude picks and chooses who to let in (cash only). Weird people inside and illegal. Patrons doing drugs and felt very uncomfortable. Bartender is a tall Irish guy who acts like a tough guy. You’re a bartender dude, it’s not war. Don’t stay open past normal business hours if you can’t handle the customers. I will be reporting to BBB.

Showed up while visiting New York for the weekend and Jeanette was absolutely incredible. She took the time to make sure our glasses were never empty explain to us there McCoy red ale and we enjoyed every drop of it. The place was super cool wonderful chill vibes great music and awesome staff. The decor inside really does make you feel like you're in a straight up Irish pub. Favorite place I've been to on my vacation here

A locals bar to the T, McCoys feels like you’ve been there a million times even on your first time. It’s a narrow bar going maybe 100 feet back but it makes good use of its space. The bar is clean, floors aren’t sticky, and the only bartender on duty is holding down the front while taking orders and running them to the back. There’s barstools in the front and booths in the back for a more intimate gathering (if you can have one while drinking). They have TVs throughout so you can stay on top of whatever game is on at the moment and their beer/drink selection is solid. This is very much a no frills bar, you come for drinks and that’s what you’ll get. The mixed drinks were on the heavier side which is a pro considering the drinks weren’t on the cheaper side. The beer was poured well too which is about all you can ask for in a beer. Again, this is a dive bar, don’t expect too much but do expect a decent time.
