There was a McDonald’s employee working on the second floor on Jan. 11 between 5 & 6pm. He was sitting in the corner on his phone screaming into his phone at someone at the top of his lungs. All patrons kept staring at him because he was making such a disturbance. A guest came up to him and asked if the bathroom was available. The McDonald’s employee screamed OPEN
OPEN
.OPEN!!!!!!!!! At the man in the most aggressive, angry, and loud manner. Then the employee turned to everyone in the room and screamed “what does he not understand about open?!”. Then he went back to screaming at someone on his phone.

Extremely unprofessional and I doubt any tourist in that room at that time will ever be back to that location.

This was my first time at this particular location, but it's the third or fourth restaurant of this chain that I've visited. They're located in a very nice, upscale area, with plenty of space for customers, whether you're dining in or taking out. The service was average, but the establishment was incredibly dirty. Everywhere I looked, there was trash. I understand that there are more people around during the holidays, and that some people are inconsiderate and don't dispose of their trash properly, but during busy times like these, they need to pay much more attention to these seemingly minor details, which are part of the normal daily cleaning routine.

I was really disappointed with this visit. Such a tourist spot & what poor service! It is a known fact that anywhere In NYC, if you do not purchase anything to eat/drink you cannot use their restroom. Therefore, that was my first question upon entering the store. I asked her in her native language to let me in the 1st floor restroom. Her reply was that there were two upstairs bc the site has 3 floors. My son and I ordered and proceeded upstairs. No napkins, food was cold and the order was missing items we had purchased. I went to request my missing items and he said they no longer had any. Then why did the kiosk allow me to purchase it? So where's my money or the replacement! Unbelievable! The seating area was small upstairs with limited seating space on the second floor and disgrunted customers. The third floor was closed. Quickly ate to allow others to sit and ran to the restroom. Doors locked and a code was needed to get in! Ran downstairs and questioned if they could key me in bc I really had to go. I was sent to the manager who displeased stated ALL the restrooms were flooded! I told her I should've been told when I questioned before placing my order, I honestly would've chosen some other place to eat. She claimed it just just happened. Great, what restaurant would let me use the rest room now? Overall horrible!

On Christmas they decided to lock the doors with no signage or warning with a guy yelling 'mobile orders only' through the window. Manager was of no help either. No explanation, nothing. Just slamming the door on people. They can keep my order.

Took an hour to get my food, all the bathrooms are locked except on bathroom on the 2nd floor where both little kids and adults use of the opposite sex
notified workers and they can’t open up other bathrooms. At-least to separate opposite genders for more security
WORST AND UNPROFESSIONAL ATMOSPHERE WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN. PLEASE DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE

Complaint About Poor Service and Missing Items – December 8

Last night, on Sunday, December 8, around 9:20 PM, my friends and I went to McDonald’s to purchase two Grinch Happy Meal combos. When we placed the order, everything was correct: two full combos.

However, when we went to pick up our order, there was already a delay, and we were given only one box. The employee told us that everything was inside. Since we had ordered two combos, we asked for the second box. When it was handed to us, several items were missing: one Big Mac, one sandwich, one order of fries, and one Grinch sock. Only one complete combo was provided, and the second box was given to us completely empty.

Because the counter was extremely crowded and busy, we did not open the boxes right away. Once we sat down to eat and noticed that all these items were missing, we immediately returned to the counter with our receipt to explain the situation.

The manager on duty at that time, around 9:20 PM, whose name we unfortunately do not know, treated us in an extremely rude and disrespectful manner. This situation is not only about the missing sock. I understand that many people might claim a sock was missing to try to get an extra one. However, in our case, it was not just one item missing. It was an entire meal: sandwich, fries, and the sock.

We were calm and respectful. We did not argue. We simply asked if they could please check, because mistakes can happen during busy hours. Instead of helping us, the manager yelled at my friend in front of everyone, accused her of trying to get free food, and embarrassed us publicly. She even said that she had fired three employees because of issues related to the socks, as if that justified how she spoke to us.

We are customers — tourists, actually — just trying to enjoy the Grinch promotion while visiting New York. We are not required to know the restaurant’s staffing problems. We simply paid for a product and had the right to receive what we paid for.

She aggressively said that she definitely put the sock in the box herself. But if a sandwich and fries were missing, then clearly the sock was most likely missing as well. Again, this was never just about the sock. It was about missing food.

At one point, she said sarcastically, “I will give you the food and I hope you enjoy it,” in a threatening and humiliating tone. We felt deeply embarrassed in front of everyone in the restaurant.

We even asked her to check the security cameras, because the footage would clearly show that the items were not properly placed in the bag. There was a sandwich sitting aside that clearly belonged to our order. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she kept questioning the employees in front of us and treating us as if we were stealing or lying.

This was by far the worst McDonald’s experience we have ever had, not because of the missing items alone, but because of the way we were treated. We understand that employees are under pressure, and no one is required to be overly friendly, but basic respect and education are the minimum.

Is this really how customers are supposed to be treated?
