It was a fun atmosphere and lively
This place is absolute trash. The people who work here are racist and aggressive. A white guy was physically harassing my (black) friend’s girlfriend and when my friend stood up for her the white guy grabbed him and threatened to kill him. The bartender told security my friend was the problem and he was physically pushed out the door by security without even being allowed to get his stuff. I wish i could say this was the first racist experience we’ve had here but it wasn’t. Don’t go here
One of my stomping grounds in NYC. Who doesn't love this place?
Great place and great people... great Bills bar
Staff are friendly & very attentive. Food was pleasant & I didn't have to wait long for it.

Look the bar here is clearly popular, it’s often full and they seem to do a good trade in groups/parties. But the food is not good. The staff are nice, but also kinda distracted by the place being packed with bar-goers. It’d probably be better if it focused on being a fun bar, rather than trying to also be a mediocre restaurant.
Hadn’t been to Calico Jack’s in a couple of years. Used to have a nice menu. Won’t be back. Paid $15 for chopped iceberg lettuce with tortilla strips, 1/2 of a fried banana, and some dressing. Server was inattentive, except with co-worker he was talking to in the back of the restaurant. Appears to be good place for happy hour, but not as restaurant.
Waiters are so cool here. Tip extra, because they will make you happy for the evening (and I didnt even tip until I was leaving because I had a tab)!
This is the second time I was utterly disappointed. After more than 30 minutes of wait (total no of tables occupied: 5, including ours) we got completely burned Fajitas. The change of cook was a bad mood, and I am not coming ever again. And I was a regular customer.

Decent food and good atmosphere
Pretty decent
Solid nachos, great $5 margs Monday and Tuesday
The food here has gotten so much better since they got a new kitchen staff. The liquor selection has almost doubled and the DJs are always playing a nice mix of everything. They offer open bars but if you take care of your Bartender and get some good drinks you are better off then getting the cheap stuff.
Walking round New York n just found this place. We were tempted just for a drink as we got here 6.20 - 6.30 or so, and they did happy hour 5 - 7. It was $5 for beers n margaritas, so we went in. Server was v attentive and helpful n drinks came very quickly. Everyone was eating and food looked and smelled really good, so we ordered food, and another drink each! Food was good, hot and tasty and big portions. Not the very best Mexican I've had, but darn close. Frozen margaritas were to die for and definitely the best I've had!
