Sometimes you just want hassle free, NYC style, inexpensive Chinese food in a no no no frills setting. Mee is that kind of spot. It moved out of my neighborhood when Covid shut it down, and I missed the roast soy chicken noodle soup that got me through the winter. I am happy as a clam that I can make a quick trek down to the East Village for a hot steamy bowl. The waiter is the best, he remembered me and what I liked. Was a regular at the midtown location. So sad to see them get pushed out of the neighborhood. I have not been able to visit the downtown location in person, but order from them at least once a week. My family refuses to eat any other Chinese takeout. The Fees that you pay on the online ordering platforms are ridiculous, but glad to at least have the option as I am apparently we are not in their regular delivery area.
