*A Hidden Gem: MEKONG*
Tucked away in a quiet corner of the city, MEKONG is a Thai-Vietnamese culinary gem that will transport you to the vibrant streets of Bangkok and Hanoi. This unassuming eatery is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic flavors and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
As soon as you step inside, you'll feel like you're in a cozy Thai home. The decor is simple yet charming, with traditional touches that evoke the warmth and hospitality of Southeast Asian culture. But what truly sets this restaurant apart is the exceptional service. Our manager and server, Mr. Ben, is a kind and gentle soul who will make you feel like family. His warm smile and attentive service set the tone for a truly unforgettable dining experience.
The menu is a love letter to the bold and aromatic flavors of Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. From the spicy and sour notes of the Tom Yum soup to the rich and savory flavors of the Pho, every dish is a masterclass in balance and depth. The ingredients are fresh and expertly prepared, and the portions are generous without being overwhelming.
What truly impressed us was the authenticity of the flavors. Each dish was a true reflection of the rich culinary heritage of Thailand and Vietnam, with bold flavors and aromas that will leave you wanting more. And the prices? Unbeatable. You'd be hard-pressed to find better value for the quality and quantity of food served here.
In short, MEKONG is a hidden gem that deserves to be discovered. With its warm atmosphere, exceptional service, and authentic flavors, it's a must-visit for anyone seeking a truly memorable dining experience. Don't miss out on the opportunity to taste the real deal – come and experience the magic of Thai-Vietnamese cuisine for yourself.

Mekong is one of those rare spots where the food is so good, you forget to take pictures, no regrets though, just clean plates and full hearts.
I had the beef pho, a side of chicken wings, and pad see ew, and every single dish hit the mark. The pho broth was rich and aromatic, clearly simmered with care, and packed with tender beef slices. It was comforting and flavorful without being overly salty. The wings were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and addictive—definitely not your average side dish. And the pad see ew? Chewy noodles with the right amount of wok char, just the way it should be.
The vibe was relaxed, the service friendly, and the food came out fast. If you're craving solid Thai and Vietnamese food on the UWS, this place is a gem. Can’t wait to come back and try more—next time I might even remember to snap a photo.

Not sure how this place has a 4.5 star. Its BAD. Not authentic, not good in person, poor service. It’s the only game in town, maybe? Tried them twice just to be sure. Really bad.

This place is a bit of a sleeper. I have often passed it by, thinking the fusion menu indicated it was mediocre at best.
Well - I was wrong. I had a very nice meal here. Service was kind and the food was tasty. I had Chinese broccoli with pork belly. This is a dish that is generally not made spicy. But they kicked up the heat(at my request), not by adding chili, which would have changed the flavor profile of the dish, but with copious amounts of black pepper. Very clever and well done!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. It was so quiet and peaceful, no music playing, made it really nice to have conversation and just enjoy dinner. Would highly highly recommend. We got thai iced teas, curry puffs and drunken noodles. All were fantastic. Thank you!
