Tucked into a quiet corner, Mellow Yellow offers a peaceful, welcoming escape with just the right dose of character. The ambiance is cozy yet clean, with upbeat music and natural light filling the space. There’s a strong sense of intention behind everything from the locally sourced ingredients to the friendly staff who seem to genuinely enjoy being there.
I had their chai latte with oat milk and a lemon-poppyseed muffin, and both were flavorful and satisfying. The muffin was soft and zesty without being overly sweet, and the chai had a lovely balance of spice and creaminess. It’s clear that Mellow Yellow cares about both taste and experience. This spot feels like a local favorite in the making authentic, cozy, and consistently good.

My favorite coffee shop on the upper east side! The staff are so friendly and kind. Food is delicious and coffee is always good. I come here all the time to get my iced coffee but I love treating myself to their granita and lemonana every so often.

Delicious food and super friendly service! The hummus tahini plate and shakshuka plate are really tasty. Really liked the green machine smoothie as well. The service is super nice and there is a welcoming atmosphere. There are tables inside and a bench outside. Would highly recommend!

Delicious food!
Mellow Yellow is a wonderful Israeli cafe that is open early for coffees and breakfasts and also serves delicious salads and sandwiches. They’re certified kosher!

Hidden gem. Best hummus and Shuka I’ve had in the city. Mint tea slushy perfect for a hangover.

If you are looking for a hummus place just like in Israel - this is the one. The food is delicious. The best part for me that it is not an adaptation but extremely authentic
Really good shakshuka. Nice people

Very cute restaurant, incredibly friendly staff. The food came out quickly and they were very responsive and attentive. They remembered the names of their customers and addressed me by name throughout my visit which added to the friendly environment. I am not Jewish so this food was unique to me but it was delicious, I would 100% recommend!

Only had the smoothie here, but wanted to note laptops are not allowed on weekends.
Hands down best iced coffee in the neighborhood, friendliest staff, and super welcoming and inclusive environment. Plus- free WiFi on weekdays-great place to get work done!

Big Fan! Ate there twice on a 3 day trip to NYC. The second time I brought the family and everyone loved it. If I’m ever back in the area, I hope to stop by again.
