Food was fantastic and eclectic! Our service was charming and made great suggestions. You could dine here many times and never have the same thing twice!

The food was delicious. Especially Empanadillas de Bonito and Los Calamares de la Plaza Mayor. I was disappointed with Liquid Olives. They forgot to serve water but the waiter was responsive and brought it immediately after we requested.

Great food and service. Our waiter was spot on with his recommendations. Great wine list too.

We were seated far away from the regular restaurant, and told on arrival that the restaurant service would be closed in twenty minutes, so hurry up and order. It was unpleasant, especially at the expensive price point this restaurant charges, including weird upsells like charging you for the aeoli that clearly goes with your calamari, or $4 for extremely regular bread and a tiny amount of olive oil. The shrimp was great, as usual, but the entire experience was not great—and at the end we were ordered out. To be clear, when booking I was told nothing about them shutting down for an event of some sort.

I let the server know I can not handle spice so I ordered the chicken sandwich with no spicy mayo and then ordered shrimp and bread and a drink. Instead of telling me there are red pepper flakes and sauce that has some spice to it, she says nothing. When I told her it was spicy, after I ate two and scraped off some sauce to do so, she said should I do them again. I had to get back to work, so declined. More communication would have been great and I would have enjoyed my meal more. I am a tour guide and want to be able to recommend places to them

After hearing our order, the waiter doubled the quantity of two items. We corrected him and he repeated it back accurately. Then he brought us 2 sushi when we only ordered 1. We should've sent it back, but were confused. We were charged for it, too.

Sangria is still good but the quality of food has gone down. I probably won't go back. Most dishes look like they have been sitting around in the kitchen for few hours.

It's not the real Spain, but it's as close as it gets. Definitely gives you the authentic Spanish vibes...almost felt like your out in a eatery in Madrid. Good food, but would have been cheaper in Spain.

I'm really thankful to the servers and host for taking care of us. We had to wait a little bit for our table because the staff graciously allows walk-in guests to use reserve tables for a limited time. It was all worth it though because our meal was fantastic! Despite this being a topless restaurant, all the portion sizes were actually pretty great. I think they gave us more cod fritters and gambas per serving as a courtesy. Had a great time, and will definitely come back!

The menu is very much like what they used to have at Spanish Diner - classic Spanish tapas and small dishes with enhancements to make them more appealing to an American audience. For example, the salmorejo is served with chunks of tomatoes and hard-boiled eggs. The pan con tomate is heavy on the tomatoes. The tripe stew was delicious with the tripe melting in your mouth. All delicious, but decidedly different from anything we had in Spain. Oh, they do have the pearlized olives from El Bulli.

Been to La Barra on several occasions for lunch and have enjoyed each visit. Had different tapas at each visit and all were excellent. Our server, Pablo, was excellent and made the visit more pleasant.

Ambiance is fun, exactly what's promised in its name “Mercado”. Much different from the ambiance in all the other restaurants in Hudson Yards, namely “very posh”, which is why we chose it ... we've been to many of the other restaurants, and enjoyed them, but posh all the time is tiresome.

All of the tapas were excellent--even the liquid olives which I'd never tried before. Our Colombian waiter was wonderfully helpful, incredibly pleasant.

Fantastic food except the Cod Gazpacho was a little too salty, our server Maria was great and made up for the overall experience.

Food was excellent but I felt like we were in a cafeteria. Incredibly opposite of what you would expect in Spain. The kiosks are expensive and what is available is not what we expected. Why not a true store where you can buy jamon ny the pound?
